Human Story Spoilers, I guess.

This may be old news, but I swear I found nothing on google, the Gw2 Wiki or even in these forums. Or perhaps I’m just reading too much into things. You be the judge.

I just returned to the game from a long, baby-related absence. I started a human mes, and chose the missing sister story. It was during this story I encountered Tervelan, a Seraph commander. “LOL!” thought I. “He looks just like Sean Bean with a bowl haircut!” But wait… Tervelan… that sounds familiar. Almost like “Trevelyan”, the James Bond villain Sean Bean portrayed in Goldeneye. Huh. What a weird coincidence.

And look, seems he was a double-dealing traitor all along. Funny that.

But that’s not all, folks! Because the battle with him takes place on the monastery rooftops: a frantic chase through narrow pathways, where Tervelan constantly summons goons to stall me while he runs away like a girl. Where have I seen that before? Oh yeah….

For England, James. Surely, this goes beyond the bounds of coincidence, right? Right?

Anyone else found some not-so-obvious shout-outs in this vast world of Tyria?

Heya. I’m a returning player on Crystal Desert server looking for a Guild. I’m an Aussie, but I also get to play outside of Oceanic peak times (eg. Mornings or early afternoon, when my kid goes to kinder I think this roughly equates to NA evenings?)

Anyway. I’m 31yrs, with a family, so I need a mature casual guild that understands that real life comes first! If I need to take a break, I don’t really want to be punished for it, you know? That’s not fun.

I’m mainly just a quiet PvE player who minds their own business, but I really want to learn how to do dungeons. I did a couple as I was levelling back when the game first went live, so I like to think I’m not completely clueless, ha ha. I’m hoping to find a guild out there that’s patient and willing to teach a semi-noob, and is in it for fun and profit, not just profit! =) I’m also not averse to a bit of PvP every now and then.
