Unfounded claims of the game dying: Check.
Claims that GW2 isn’t as good as GW1: Check.

Its like a pattern in every kitten ‘complaint’ thread. All I’m missing is ‘whar trinity whar’.

I’m certainly not speaking for everyone here. But my entire guild quit after a month or two. We all spent thousands of hours in GW1, playing in the same guild for 5 years and really looking forward to the sequel. It was just not what any of us were expecting.

I really wish this wasn’t the case, though. I want to enjoy it and I try but it’s just not the same. Granted, a sequel should not just be the same, but there’s not a single trace of Guild Wars left in the game.

I have to agree. Where did all the GW1 designers go? All this hype about not using the Holy Trinity mechanics etc. Yeah, it sounded brilliant. I thought it would be as well!

But the fact that some Exotic armor has better stats than standard level 80 armor is quite annoying. This goes against everything that GW1 stood for, even if someone had a cheap 15k set it would have the exact same stats (except for runes and insignias) as the Obsidian set. Same goes for weapons. They all had the same amount of damage even though a staff like BDS was worth 250e or more on the market. I spent 7000 hours in GW1 simply because I loved it, and I still do.

Guild Wars 2 is a beautiful game. The art is fantastic as always with Guild Wars. But I miss the depth of GW1.
