Oh, awesome. I just came back to the game and paid for Season 2 and HoT. I don’t want to spoil the story by going straight to the HoT storyline.. and this Asura can’t be knocked out.

So, I guess I could spoil the storyline completely by moving on to the Heart of Thorns story, or wait around for the bug to be fixed. Sorry, I didn’t buy gems and use them on LS2 just so that I could have the story spoiled anyways. Nice scam.

Completely agree with the above poster, you may not go back. It seems people either love GW2 or find that it’s just not their style.

I played wow for years, and SWTOR from release until the first “expansion.” I got to 55 on a few toons, and then I found GW2.

When I first started GW2 I found it to not be very intuitive; I wasn’t used to any mmo’s without the holy trinity, and as I usually play a healer this was concerning to me.

Now that I have a max level elementalist, I’m hooked. I can’t go back to MMO’s that don’t allow you to actively dodge. Being freed from the role of dedicated healer (as much as I used to love healing, I can’t believe I’m saying that now!) was a breath of fresh air. I can still support my teammates, but I can also do so much more than that.

GW2 will probably take some getting used to, but if you give it a chance, read up on some guides, and check for posts along the lines of “things I wish I knew when I started playing” things will start to click with you faster.

Edit: It has been my experience that the GW2 community is much more willing to help new players than either WoW or SWTOR. YMMV.

Here’s hoping they’re still planning on letting me (even if it costs gems) look as good on my engineer as I do on all of my other characters. Hobosack is a perfect term for them, and they’ve either got to be hidden at times or able to be dyed.

Edit: Coming from a Human Engi who is tired of having half of her head inside a sack. C’mon my hair isn’t that bad looking!
