I’m a veteran player without a proper guild. I’d like a guild with friendly people; little drama, community-focused… I’d like to get into raids finally, but I’m not going to focus on that. So I’m essentially stuck trying to get this done and becoming desperate. Yes, it’s nice that there an Achievement portion of the LFG tool, but no one seems to look at it. I’ve so far tried to ask for help in DS, LA and DR. (I’m in a tiny guild, so I’m better off asking a ghost.)
If anyone could send me a mail or whisper me in game to help me out, I’d really appreciate that.
P.S. I realise it’s my own fault for not having a proper guild and trying to do this after everyone and their grandmother’s hairdresser got this done.
I’m looking for a really friendly, laid back, no drama guild that does raids. That means that nobody gets upset if someone makes a mistake, that nobody gets angry if we fail or take a number of tries to succeed, and I’m willing to reciprocate that.
I’m on NA, but from Europe, so it would be really lovely if raiding times weren’t too late for me.
I have 8 and a half fully ascended geared characters; my revenant is getting there. They’re, what I like to call, crystal cannons, meaning I gave them all trinkets with some toughness and vitality. So, yes, I like to be the designated DPS. That has nothing to do with the berserker meta, I simply like to hurt things. I would be willing to change my stats on my gear if it proves DPSing in a raid isn’t my forte. I should state that my necromancer/reaper is a condition/DPS hybrid with Rampager’s gear.
I’d also be willing to run Fractals, and my necromancer/reaper has 70 AR, and willing to work on getting more.
I’d say that I’m very experienced with dungeons and Fractals. I don’t remember being a problem in a run, except when I was new. I do still make errors… Sometimes. Namely, I pay attention, listen and try to do my best. I’m always willing to apologise, too.
So I hope there are guilds who’d give me a shot. Thank you.
Thank you for your help. It doesn’t seem anyone else logged in, and it has been lagging lately..
I just got disconnected, and the scariest message popped up. It basically said that I got disconnected because another client’s logged into my account. My heart sank, and I rushed to log back in to check all my items and everything. Nothing is out of place, but I can’t stop dreading being hacked. So, what should I do?
I PvP every day, just to get skins and achievement points, but it is also fun. It grew on me in a way. I pretty much became a frequent PvP player. Yes, reward tracks brought me in, I admit, but then it became fun.
Then this update came along… Usually, I don’t post anything; this happens to be my first post, but I’m just so annoyed that I can’t keep it to myself. As if the angsty teens yelling ‘YOLO’ or ‘get rekt m8,’ the autobalancing, getting slaughtered 3, 4, 5 versus 1 wasn’t bad enough…
Here’s what happened when I tried to PvP earlier today. First, I notice the Play Now button is gone, I spend about 10 minutes trying to find a match I can join, it was one full game after another. Then I find a match, pick a side, and see that everyone in the camp has red names. I think that maybe now players’ names were in the colours of their team. Oh, no, my “team-mates” start attacking me. I was so confused that I just stood there, but in the end I got credit for being on that team. I was on the read team, marked as blue team, or something. Someone might know the technical terms. I guess that’s the bug and glitch portion of my rant.
I don’t even dare try to queue up now. First, I have to sit in the Mists for who knows how long, while I could’ve taken the time to do something else. I don’t mean to be rude or critical, but.. Ah, to hell with it, I’m going to be rude and critical.. Whomever thought of that needs to try it themselves, and subsequently get their head examined.. It’s kittening stupid and unfair to players. It’s something like… being grounded as a teenager because your friend stole some booze, when you just wanted to stay in and watch a film.
After this fiasco, I have to state that ArenaNet and NCSoft, and everyone involved, needs to run polls, ask the playerbase what they think, include the players in what gets put in the game. I’m pretty sure they want a successful game that stays alive for somewhere near a decade. Real life can be such a pain, and I play GW2 to not get frustrated, annoyed or stressed and have some fun. I don’t need to feel compelled to post angry rants over a game. I’d prefer much more to write angry rants about my real life issues somewhere else. Also, happy players are generous players. I guess my train of thought derailed.
I’d very much like to see the Play Now button get implemented back in its place, I’d like to not have stand around the Mists waiting for a match… I’m sure people who had the bravery to try out queueing found more issues that need to be addressed.
I’d really like my Tequatl achievements, so may I get an invitation, please?
BLK is a very new guild with 15 members so far. Yes, we don’t have anything right now, that is true, but we’re currently working towards unlocking Guild Bounties. Though all the members in it are capable of running dungeons, Fractals et cetera. We’re also friendly, casual, and don’t take the game too seriously. It’s a game, is it not? We’re not really looking for members…. We’re looking for more friends; people who have an open mind, a friendly, relaxed attitude, and a sense of humour, since we do joke around a lot, and it does get a bit naughty sometimes. This guild isn’t run like a business, like I’ve seen in the past. My goal, as the leader, is to have a safe, welcoming environment where the individual person matters as a whole. I’m trying to not act bossy, demanding or get a big head. After all, I just spent two minutes creating a guild, it’s not really a big achievement that puts me above others. I led another guild before this one, and I always asked people for their opinions, never acted on my own. It may sound a bit idealistic, but I’m at least going to try making such a guild where the word guild is just an official term for a family. As for the business side of things, I’m willing to listen to any potential members about RaidCall, Teamspeak et cetera that they want us to have. Personally, I can’t afford to pay for channels and such, by the way. I know it’s a long shot for people to be interested in small and new guilds, but I have to start somewhere. Thanks to everyone who takes an interest, and you can talk to me in game.
