Why so easy?

I agree with what Hobbitz posted. In fact, my guild who have played a number of MMO’s together for years (AoC, GW1, FFXIV, Rift, SWTOR, Wow), quit playing GW2 (with the exception of myself) because of the difficulty in dungeons especially.

Call them bad players as I’m pretty sure you will. I call them people with a life and the stresses that come with that life. They don’t want to come home and have their fun time one shot constantly. It’s super frustrating and compounds a frustrating real world day. They don’t have all day to figure out how to use combos properly and gear up their character. So because they can’t see the content, they play other games.

Disagree all you want and argue playing styles, I’m just stating fact from my personal experience. I would love for them to all come back and play. Making this game harder would absolutely ensure that they never will. I would also really like to see two (or more) tiers of content with some choosing easy mode so they can enjoy it and others can have hard mode so they get their challenge. GW1 was brilliant in that way and we all played that for years because we had a choice.

My guildies and I were doing Arah over the weekend and for fun I pulled out a Ruminant Tonic, turning into a Dolyak. My guildmate mentioned that my tiny (I’m an Asura) Quaggan backpack had fallen off and was sitting on the floor. I think she’s just messing with me and go over to look and see:

The problem is the people who need to take the time to learn it may not want to spend so much time. They may not even have that much time and just want to play with friends and family to relax and have some fun.

It would be nice if there were modes that we suited for players such as this and players who do want a challenge where their skills are necessary to complete encounters.

As it is, there are too many people losing interest and not playing as much because they feel they are missing out on a part of the game that should be rewarding and fun and isn’t.

It’s all well and good to say l2p and other things that you think make you sound like you know what you’re doing and in the end it doesn’t help players who want their voices heard on a subject that affects a large group of the player base. Like it or not, everyone is not going to be, nor wants to be leet.
