In a new patch we are getting reward of 2 golds for a daily achievements, it is too much in my opinion, with 2golds per day, just from achievements, its like 730g / year. With that big income of thousand players it could harm gw2 economy really hard.

What do you feel about that ?

You are absolutely right it actually is 730g/year or even 7300g/decade and now that i come to think of it it’s 73000g/century this is a LOT of gold there this clearly needs to be nerfed

no, but when there are lets say 100.000 active players playing every day and doing achievements, its 73mili gold / year, it is HUGE amount of gold and very big gold infation. But if you could think a little bit, you would come on it on your own

no, but since you are pulling out numbers from where it seems you usually do, to explain to you how this works, it would take an amount of effort (from my part) that i have no desire to put in doing so. But if you could just wait a little bit to finish your elementary education, you would come at it on your own

Cloaks/capes?

I would love to have a cloak at low level. They seem to be aimed at high level chars only, though.

My highest right now is 17 charr warrior….. So you are telling me they have cloaks at the high levels? because I can deal with that. I just have not seen them period.

Please elaborate. Because what i read is that your highest character is a level 17 warrior. If this is indeed true then based on what experience making comments about so many aspects (guardians, group formations, mounts, armor, classes :O, skills farming and the list goes on and on)? I got 3 80s (ranger, warrior and thief) and i feel i am still learning and you seem to know so much with a char that now is 17 level while 22 days ago was 15. How you do it really?

:)

good indicator, don’t lose faith devs, xfire may have been right a lot of times, but nothing’s fixed in stone.

wait awhile and you’ll see people coming back

the only thing that would make people not come back, is if you lie to them again by breaking the manifesto.

don’t do it, and you’ll be safe, not only that: you’re guaranteed to make a comeback.

your project has great quality, and it will succeed

for now the player drop is noticeable, but trust me based on the quality of this game, and if you carry it in the right direction without betrayal again, it is guaranteed to do nothing but rise.

I’ve never believed in statistics, no matter how factual they were, because there is always the issue of riding the trends.

Based on my personal observation, and it is pretty acute, I have a feeling this game will rise again but you’ve got to follow the manifesto, otherwise you’re going to get a lot of flak.

If you look carefully you’ll see at 7/12 the number is in par with SWTOR. Is this a good sign to you?

So take from the first dungeon items and DO evry dungeon and evry quest and evrything in the game whit that gear horisental that was teh reason why i was not playing now im ENJOYING !!!!

See right there? This is a “dedicated player”. So everyone who was wondering now has an answer. Since i am not that “dedicated” though i find myself logging less and less. I think i am waiting the next ascended armor piece to stop for good.

There are a lot of threads where people are threatening to ask for their money back because they don’t like the direction they perceive that the game is headed in. There are silly statements like “I deserve answers!” and “The customer is always right!” Most of those threads make me laugh, but I’m sure there are people at ArenaNet who are taking them personally.

Regardless of your feelings about the game, stop and ask yourself how much game play you need to get out of a $60 game before you feel that you got your money’s worth. Because the guy who said he has 500 hours into the game and feels cheated may be pushing the reality envelope hard enough for even the most jaded of you to giggle.

I tried to say this elsewhere but my post was deleted. Anyway i ‘ll try this once more. I would like you to be able to do what you ask from others to do. Stop for a minute and think. Think that there can’t be your “right” point of view against others “wrong” points of view. Think that there are people who play this game with a different mindset than yours. Think that among them there maybe a group that in the game the most important thing is their character. So what they can do for their character to progress is THE purpose to play the game even if you see something as minuscule and not worth the effort to them maybe is of the outmost importance and they can get to any length of “trouble” to achieve it just to advance their character even a little bit. To this group of people ( to which i am proud member of, i might say) the beautiful in game scenery no matter, the events no matter, the dungeons no matter, innovative combat system, exploration, quests, personal story all less compared to their character’s progression. What does that mean we don’t like them? Of course we do we love them all, and you know why? Because they contribute to our character’s progression.
Let’s see now what you are telling to all of us here: Ok guys you got to play 600+ hours and now that you don’t like that the game became anything BUT what it was advertised to be you can as well leave. But you must not ask your money back because, you know, it is unethical since you got your money’s worth by playing those 600 hours. OHHH REALLY NOW! did we? Since you seem not to get it let me spell it out for you NO amount of money we get from any refund will make up for the lost time we spend INVESTING on a character we are now forced to abandon. As a matter of fact what you perceive as “play time” that provided in exchange to a $60 price paid we more see it like precious time we spend developing our character and now it has been trashed overnight and contrast to what was advertised. So there maybe is merit for a compensation lawsuit for that time as well on top of that refund (but let’s just not take it that far). I hope you can really see our point.

I am making this post, my first one in this forum and probably the last one too, to express my contempt about this distasteful act ANet is committing. I have had my fair share of many MMOs that their design philosophy revolves around the neverending gearing up (and up and up …. anyway you are all familiar with the concept). I have to admit here that i was vaguely aware that GW1 was all about PVP (which i don’t really do) and had no real PVE content. So never really took the time to check the game out and i really really regret that. After the press attention GW2 got though, i begun learning slowly what GW was all about. I was so disappointed from my recent fail choice of the SWTOR that i couldn’t really persuade myself to buy GW2. I maybe read the “Manifesto” like 20 times and still couldn’t quite grasp the fact that an MMO like that existed. I was thinking that it was like i had it custom made. Anyway i decided to buy the game about 2 months ago hoping to find here what all these years was looking for (even though in my early years in the MMO world didn’t know it yet). I put since a great amount of time in the game because i loved it (i don’t dare to say how many play hours i have i will surely be taken for a nolifer). I have 3 80s full exotic and still a million things i would love to do in the game. I am afraid though i won’t, because the road this game is taking is the one i have taken so many times. Is the road i wholeheartedly hate and for no reason on earth i will take again. Ever! I would like hope somehow something will happen to reverse this but i don’t think it will. This makes me really sad because for me, if this goes down, it is not just about quitting GW2; It is more like i am done with MMOs. And like i said it makes me sad…
