Guild Wars 2

before I upgraded my PC I was using a windforce 970 and phenom II 1100t (3.3Ghz, six core). On this system I was able to get a stable 45+ fps with mostly high-ultra settings + GemFX. After upgrading to a new pc with the same graphics card but new motherboard and FX 8350 (4.5Ghz OC’d, eight core) I am only hitting ~12 fps with the same settings.

I have no idea why this is happening and in other games like bioshock infinite I’m averaging 100+fps

I have seen other people on the forums say they were able to get solid 60+ fps with the same processor and lesser graphics card. Could there be something different about the motherboard causing this?

All help/advice greatly appreciated!

Start the client and it just give me “connection issues detected” haven’t had this happen before and I haven’t changed anything on my system. It can’t even connect to the game server at all? idk, let me know if you need more info

Cantha was my favorite GW1 region to work on. And I worked on every GW release. I know a lot of the dev team loved it and would love to revisit it. I kinda agree with critickitten about the negative aspect of tight corridors. Most of that came from hitting technological limits while trying to keep the epic quality of the concept art. I think we could do some really amazing things with those themes in our new engine. Certainly nothing is ruled out. I certainly encourage anyone to express your desire for a Cantha region in GW2 in a positive and friendly way. It could be years away, but it’s worth asking for.

I would be beyond disappointed with ArenaNet if a Factions successor never appeared. It was by far my favorite campaign. Based on this quote along with the overwhelming response to this thread it is clear that the decision to omit the developers’ and fans’ favorite expansion would be not only a bad business move but a bad move for the GW2 community as well. I understand this is mostly a NcSoft decision but Anet cannot leave this piece out of their game. Please give us Cantha at some point in the future!

It would really add to the PvP rewards. I also think an improved version of Hall Of Heroes needs to be included… Also this is Guild Wars. Where the kitten is the GvG?

Elementalists are not underpowered. They are the most difficult to play. If you haven’t played The first Guild Wars i suggest playing as a different class until you are familiar with the concepts guild wars uses. Guild Wars PvP is much more in depth than any other MMO I’ve seen.
