Reitsuya Kanda – 2x – Human Thief
Aestrid Hlodviskin – 3x – Norn Ranger
Oh my goodness, mine looks AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for your hard work!! What server are you on? I would love to send you a little tip.
Wow, these are so awesome!! I would love it if you could do one of my character!
Her name is Aisda Amaethon and she’s a mesmer, so I would love it if you used lots of purples/pinks.
Thank you!
Also, can you send mail to people on an EU server when you’re on an NA server? I would love to tip you for your work.
NEXON s…t.
Well at least someone knows who actually calls the shots on everything these days.
Honestly I’ll keep posting this image until that ridiculous rumors like that are dead and buried.
What rumors? That Nexon acquired a 15% interest in NCSoft?http://www.mmorpg.com/blogs/Meleagar/112012/24237_NCSoft-Sold-Arenanet-and-GW2-Out-For-Nexon-Investment
According to that pretty reliable site thats a fact, not a rumor.
Taken from the article linked:
’The point is that shortly after Nexon and Crystin Cox arrived on the scene at Arenanet, that company threw 7 years of game philosophy (whether you agreed with it or not), trust, and credibility down the drain in order to, apparently, introduce a gear-treadmill monetization scheme that would require people to either endure a massive grindfest to keep up with top gear stats, or pay to keep up by buying gems in the cash shop, converting them to gold, and then buying Ascended gear and infusions off the trading post.
Essentially, the game has become a pay-to-win scheme."
I stopped reading that stupid article after that paragraph. You can’t buy ascended gear and infusions from the trading post. At the time that this article was written (Nov of 2012), you could either not get ascended items at all (I can’t remember when they came out exactly), or, if you could get them, they were from FotM or laurels (again, I can’t remember when they put out the laurel system). Both of these methods require you to actually play the game, not just purchase gems and convert to gold. This is a bullkitten article that was just trying to get views from a sensationalized headline.
bump from the dead
I absolutely LOVE this idea! My character wears glasses with her town clothes, so why would she suddenly take them off in combat? Makes no sense! I don’t see why this would be difficult or even why they haven’t already made a set.
Thank you all for the great feedback. Maybe if this thread gets enough attention a dev will take notice.
While I am not an avid roleplayer (RPer), it has bothered me how there are so many wonderful areas and buildings in Tyria with lots of chairs and sofas….that none of which your character can sit in/on. I understand that a developer has already expressed that creating the ability to sit in chairs would be impossible because every single chair in the game would have to be redone and they would have to take into account the different races’ sizes and what not. In other words, it’s a big, impossible mess.
Thus, I offer you a solution! (and a request)
The fold-out party chair express (name pending)
It would (preferably) be an account-bound item that, when selected, will cause your character to sit in a chair that is different depending on race. The stipulations are that your character must be out of combat and cannot be in water. It has to be on land. That way the issue of remaking all the chairs in the game is a non-issue, and people can have their characters sit in towns, bars, fields, etc.
This can easily be a gem store item, and I’m certain that a lot of people (especially on Tarnished Coast and Piken Square) will purchase it in seconds! I know that I would throw my money at it in a heartbeat.
tl;dr: A portable chair item that, when selected, causes your character to sit in a chair. Must be out of combat and on land. Probably a gem store item.
I used to main a condi mesmer, even in PvE, and I was never once kicked out of a party because I was using a staff. If someone does that to you, it was probably going to be a lame party to begin with. Don’t worry so much and just use a staff if you like it.
I thought Sylvari were going to be like Guild wars version of Elves. Then it looks like they went that route at first then changed it to making them plant people and still keeping the Elven type of ground roots with the being in-tune with nature and the forest and all that jazz. Scarlet actually looks scary, the concept art makes her look subtle. She is a fun villain though.
Well the name “Sylvari” comes from the latin root “silva” meaning “forest” or “woods”. So it would make sense that they would resemble plants. It connects better with their name.
I absolutely love the purple female noble clothing, and I too have wanted it for my mesmer since I first saw it. I really wish Anet would offer new armor sets for each armor type with one mimicking each of the classes’ looks. For example, one of these as a mesmer look, a whimsical one for elementalist, a tight-fitted one for thief, etc. They could even release them as skins in the gem store. I would buy a mesmer one in a heartbeat.
I’m totally for this! I am a huge GW lore fan, and even though I’ve played GW1, it was nice to hear a wrap-up of all the stuff that happened in the old games/expansions. I just hope that he can someday finish it!
And the living story wrap-up videos were excellent. I took a little break from GW2 and missed some stuff in the LS, so I’m glad to be caught up on the lore.
There are a few pairs of glasses in the gem store that can be worn with town clothes and ONLY with town clothes. I would love to have my mesmer wear a pair of awesome glasses to complete her look, yet I can’t. I don’t understand why my character would wear vision-correcting glasses in town, but not while in combat.
I’m not a designer or dev or anything, but I can’t imagine that it would be very hard to port over the skin to a normal headgear.
I was standing outside of the gate (the gate where you start the instance not the mission!) for 2 minutes and I got the map indicator. If you do not have it on your map then you are missing Cragstead.
Omg thank you so much! Yeah I had to go past the instance marker and go right up to the door to get Cragstead. How freakin’ dumb.
Anyways, thank you so much for this suggestion! And thank you to everyone else who offered suggestions! <3
I have 100% World Completion, and I have all the other explorer achievements for the other areas.
I have those too and I’ve completed the jumping puzzles. I guess I’ll check Sector Zuhl again just to make sure that the game counted it.
@Skeletor: Thank you for your suggestion, but I have already completed Forsaken Halls. I even finished the mini-dungeon.
@Kristijan: Yeah I’ve completed the Cragstead instance too, but I received no notification and there is no white text with it’s name on my map. I’m really stumped by this. :/
So I am trying to complete the Shiverpeak Explorer achievement, but I am stuck at 174/175. I have been scouring the internet trying to find some secret area that I missed, but every “easy to miss” area I appear to have. I have cross-checked my map with the Guild Wars 2 Wiki maps, and they both match. So I was wondering if it may be bugged, or if there was a new area added recently that the maps haven’t added yet.
Oh and I have done the new instanced area in Wayfarer Foothills today, Cragstead. Is it supposed to show up in white letters on your map? Because it doesn’t on mine.
Ooooo I love the last one you did of the elementalist. She looks so happy lol.
Wow I really like the first one! Can’t wait to see how mine turns out!
*character name: Aisda Amaethon
*request of how you want your character to be (please be brief, these are sketches without backgrounds): Hmmm you can have creative freedom, but I would like her to be holding her staff. Maybe looking happy as well. She is a very cheerful Mesmer.

Your drawings are so cool! I would love to get one of my condition mesmer, whenever you have a chance.
is that a staff o.O? looks awesome
Yep! It’s the Peacemaker’s Staff, from the T3 Asura cultural vendor in Rata Sum. It was 63k karma.
I love the Peacemaker’s weapons. They glow such a pretty pinkish-purple color.

I too would like to know if you can get the parts from days you missed when you repeat them in LA. I would really like to make 2 minipets, but I missed the 1st and 3rd days of the event. I wasn’t worried about it at first because it was stated that you would be able to repeat the events when Tixx reaches LA, but if you don’t get any reward from doing the dungeons you missed then what’s the point of doing them? (besides the achievement)
Bugged on Jade Quarry….fun times. At least everyone is friendly.
