GW2 is so much better...

Content is what matters and no other MMO has as much content and stuff to do than that game which people sure like to talk smack about.

GW2 has good graphics, but unlike that other game, I ran out of stuff to do within just a few weeks of making my first character. Been playing that other game for years and still haven’t seen all there is to see in it.

Why would you buy a MMO game?

MMORPG

People always forget about the RPG part.

RPGs have always been about character progression. Final fantasy, fallout, diablo, baldurs gate, whatever. Character progression, leveling up, upgrading weapons or armor, learning new abilities, have always been what sets RPGs apart from regular old adventure games like Mario.

For me the core of an MMORPG have always been about character progression and an open virtual world where you can run into other players without needing to invite them or them needing to invite you into their own personal game world.

So yeah, I too don’t understand why people are upset that an MMORPG is going to have continual character progression.

Would you reccommend GW2 to a friend?

If someone’s just looking for a casual MMO because they’re too busy to invest too much time into video games then I’d recommend this game.

Otherwise not really. The leveling is fun but leveling to the cap takes no time at all and then you are left with nothing to do… well you have stuff to do but there isn’t much motivation to do it because rewards suck.

Probably better off playing something like league of legends.

I can’t stand how people keep bringing up GW1.

Gw1 was not an MMO, Gw2 is an MMO… They are not the same type of game.

You know, kind of like how warcraft is an RTS and WoW is an MMO… Different game type but same world and lore.

Who cares if GW1 didn’t raise the level cap? What’s that have to do with Gw2?

And why are people acting like an expansion is coming out soon? It’s going to be a really long time before that happens so all you people who can’t stand character progression can enjoy never needing to progress for many months to come.

I mean really, why even play an MMO if you don’t want to ever worry about upgrading you characters? Go play a FPS or something.

Why did you deviate so much from GW1?

Maybe because Gw1 wasn’t an MMO and this game is?

GW1 sucked.

Will not touch game for a long time.

Because all the GW1 players are killing it.

They cry out against any real character progression at lvl 80 being added despite the biggest complaint about this game being that there isn’t anything worth while to do once you hit the level cap and get %100 map completion.

MMO players need character progression and even though GW2 is supposed to be an MMO (unlike GW1), you run out of ways to progress your character far too quickly.

It sounds like people don’t want to play an MMO.

MMOs need to have ways to continually advance your characters, that’s what sets them apart from other online pvp games or single player RPGs with online co-ops.

GW1 was not an MMO, GW2 should not be like GW1.

Have you quit playing due to FPS?

“Have you quit playing due to FPS?”

Pretty much, my FPS are good in every part of the game but WvW where it’s so bad it’s unplayable.

Knowing I’ll never be able to enjoy that aspect of the game ruins the whole thing for me.
