I don’t know how much this annoys other people, or whether this has been addressed or not, but I would really like to be able to turn off the notifications in the top right. A lot of times they’re really distracting (especially when they stack up) and the ability to turn them on or off would be nice.
A prime example is the Personal Story notifier, which never goes away until you complete it. I like how there is a Daily/Monthly notifier, but these do not go away until you complete them. Notifiers for local dynamic events are fine, as are the ones for renown hearts, because those are completed fairly quickly, but ones for meta-events like Frozen Maw are always up for certain areas, even if the event has been completed. A more recent example is the Flame and Frost notifier, which has a black backdrop so it stands out more (and thus is more distracting).
These are nice for letting players know where they have to go for their personal story, where dynamic quests and heart vendors are, and the status of meta events, but they can also feel a lot like a guillotine hanging over you, demanding that you complete said event/quest/heart or it’ll never go away.
TL;DR: An option to turn off the notifications in the top-right, and even to customize which ones appear and which do not, would be beneficial as it prevents players from having their interface overwhelmed by six different tasks (Personal Story, Flame & Frost, Daily/Monthly, Local heart, local event, meta event).
