Am I just lucky that I’ve leveled entirely as staff and I’ve never once gotten stuck beneath the terrain? I am annoyed however, that phase retreat, for some reason, randomly causes my character to turn around 180 degrees. Which is slightly annoying.

Are you 80?

For me the bug seemed to be much more frequent as i entered high level areas. Never encountered it in lower level zones but maybe you are just lucky and escaped it

Does the game get any darker?

If you’re GRINDING at lvl 80 it’s because you CHOOSE to grind since it is NOT REQUIRED. Anet stated there would be no grind and from 1 to 80 and the max gear there IS NO GRIND. What you call a GRIND is an OPTION not a REQUIREMENT thus you CHOOSE to GRIND and COMPLAIN about it. What did you think they would do? Hand you EVERYTHING in the game in a few weeks time? LMAO hahaha Sorry but if you want EXOTICS and other ELITE GEAR you WILL GRIND for that but of course IT IS OPTIONAL NOT REQUIRED.

This is the typical fanboy answer. If that game would be Aion.

Do you forced to get new gear to play the game after lvl 55 (or 60?) ? No..you are not! Are you forced to grind? Yeah, if you want to do something in the game, YOU HAVE TO GRIND.

Wanna play Gw2 after lvl80? You are forced to grind. Is that a fact? Yup it is.

If you’re incapable of arguing your point of view without resorting to insults like fanboy (which you’ve used several times now in this thread) you really shouldn’t post because it does nothing to get your points across

Of course I would be back in a week if the ONLY THING in this game would be farm out dungeon set, but at least: I COULD DO THAT!

That would be still more fun than not able to EVEN that. So basicly, you are saying, if there would be tons of content, that would be pointless. Why? Because I would be back in 3 months to complain that there is not content?

No content last forever.

Thats why they have to do these first. Example: 1piece/gear dungeons = 1 week of content.

DE + quest gear tokens -> 1 week of content. That would mean that they have 2 week with full of content!

Better than the one right now? YUP! Will they have to work to implement more content? SURE!

Once again…content wont make itself, and GRIND IS NOT CONTENT.

1. I never said such a thing – I said your suggested model would have you running back here and complaining in a week. It’s a bad idea

2. You don’t need that armor so don’t farm it if it’s a grind to you

3. Longterm goals like grinding a set of armor is content and some people enjoy having something like that to strive for

Sigh…let me tell you again. In this game, the content IS THE SKINS and COSMETICS.

You are just failed to realise that there is ALWAYS something which is motivating players : This is content.

However, when this content (getting cool skins) is just a big GRIND fest, its called a GRIND game.

This wouldnt be the case if there would be anything else to do. OR if you could do this like I said: without grind.

That would be easy. Instead of the karma grind they could do that way:

For the helmet example you need to do certain dynamic events, and get items from each -> combine in mystic forge -> get head token.

Nothing has changed, expect that I dont have to FARM the same dynamic events all around the world for insane amount of karma.

Dungeon runs -> 1 run / piece -> still a challenge but I dont have to grind all over and over again.

Thats it example.

Once again you’d be back in a week complaining about lack of content if you got 1 piece/run

You DON’T have to grind for that armor, it’s not in any way needed to experience the game. Yes, it’s a grind. Don’t like it? Don’t do it

Fun system would be:

Do events -> Realise that you can get new skins! Yay!

Do dungeons -> Get 1 armor piece / run. Get new skin after 6 run. Need effort? Yeah! Can be fun? Yeah!

This is the system you are talking about. Where you dont have to grind, you are not forced to play 24/7 , . You are just going with the flow…

Deal with it.

Disregarding your childish insults for a minute the system you want would have you back here in a week complaining about a lack of content…

Give us a TARGET LOCK feature.

No friggin way, imho. There should be no target lock at all. As a matter of fact this should be the game of skill it isn’t; at least one has to re-acquire their target at times.

lol someone got owned in pvp

50 Necro 5/10. Many others that have already stopped playing because the game is the most non-rewarding socialist utopian mmo on the market wont be around to provide feedback, so there is absolutely nothing statistical that can be gained from the input in this thread, other than surmising that it is input based on folks, that purchased, and who are more appreciative of the game than less.

Im on the cusp on leaving because it isn’t the pvp game hyped, and that player skill isn’t a component of pvp game-play and nor are players rewarded for their game-play and effort to be able to gain an edge based on accomplishments and game-play effort.

Don’t blame the game for your lack of skill

Finding the class rather enjoyable so far
Bug frequency seems to increase as i level and i’m a bit worried i’m stuck in the gear treadmill mindset to enjoy lvl 80

OP, i’m absolutely positive you making a post about it will be the deciding factor in speeding up the process…

What did you think would happen? lol

Obviously they are working hard to fix an issue with it and it will be online again once it’s done. I do agree though it sucks not having it but nothing we can do about it

Thank you!

Ending your post with i’m not even going to come back and defend my post when someone disagrees invalidates it completely

If you’re not interested in defending your point of view then it’s a blog and should be posted on a blog or facebook

Also, your post is wrong on all accounts. I’m not even going to say why because you’re just a hater. See how that works?

I’d also like to add that making money in wow is not the same as here. Also, years of experience counts for nothing if those years were spent doing it wrong in that game

I have a guildie who, despite 7 years of wow experience, had trouble paying for the 2g trait book at level 40. How that’s possible i will never know

Not saying you don’t know how to make money in GW2 or wow but just that experience only counts for something if you learned how to do it right

I find gold fairly easy to come by in GW2 as does the rest of my guildies except the person mentioned above. Your mileage may vary obviously but saying earning gold is a grind is simply wrong

If your idea of farming gold is to farm random mobs and vendor everything you’re doing it wrong, lvl 34 or not

After 2 years of WoW I am very well aware of what proper gold farming is. My experiment was done with the average player in mind and with the parameters I outlined. nothing more. nothing less. This isn’t about how to farm and if you thought it was you are missing the point. It is about keeping enough ways to generate a proper amount of gold to get gear or at least keep getting gear achievable without the GRIND of farming gold.

First off the average player will never be farming the same mobs for an hour, hopefully they wont be vendoring every single drop either

So your experiment failed on a basic level imo. It’s like if i walked across the entire world and then stated travelling takes too long. You’re only using one single way of doing it, disregarding all other source of income and because of that your conclusion is pretty much useless
