Not sure if this has been mentioned before but how about giving the commander tag and option so that it would only be visible to your own guild ?Something like a guild tag
The whole idea of associating tags with colors according to the type of commander you are e.g. red offensive blue defensive is great but what if I wanted to run a small 10-15 havoc group
Is it open anywhere ?

I was only referring to the QQing about IoJ dominating (by 50k and still growing) cuz we got 3-4 hrs of night coverage and others don’t. If I have skipped any more important QQing then; my deepest apologies !
It’s not like DR or FC don’t have any people to defend at night, but they would rather scatter all over and flip camps rather than work together and put some effort into defending. The longer we get held off the less we take/upgrade and thus the better it works for you, but the course of action you choose is not to be blamed on IoJ or oceanics.
If someone chooses to cap Bay in IoJ, then upgrades it and tries to hold it at the expense of their own BL and eventually loses 3/4 of it, that’s their mistake they will have to live with
You maybe at ‘dissadvantage’ for few hrs a day but it doesn’t look like you’re taking full advantage of your prime time and the numbers you can come up with against IoJ.
And since we capture stuff over night and then end up defending it, we are effectively fighting both FC and DR and obviously we have to make sacrifices when we get overwhelmed.
All in all, just find your way to work around it.

Very nice video. I haven’t seen too many decent staff ele wvw video’s before. Most of them have been boring where X person sits on the back line or oriented around tower defense. It was nice to see someone a bit more aggressive even if you are an IoJ =P
To this thread in general. I don’t know what everyone is complaining about and quite frankly I don’t care. All I can say is I have enjoyed this match immensely (though reset is rough) and have had some memorable small scale battles specifically with SF. I can’t see names but I won’t forget the PVP guild anytime soon and I believe the other was ND. I’ve encountered more small scale coordination than any wvw I can remember (though I’ve been gone two months XD) and was pretty impressed with the small scale parties with the fore mentioned tags. Now while everyone is busy bragging about individual skill, I will comment on that too. I have not had any 1vs1 that I survived or died, that made me think wow….that player was amazing and all this “I’m a kitten” is rather irrelevant as one player does not win WvW nor is this spvp. Also this is the internet, anyone can talk and make up anything. Do like the quoted user and provide a video putting your skills on display for all the world to marvel at.

if by dominate you mean omega golem rush the weakest server when theyre outmanned and let DH flip your towers youre doing a great job at it

Have to give props it to DH and IOJ, even though your servers are weak and the majority of your players arent very good skill wise your servers work well together.
On your own your servers dont pose much of a challenge so thanks for not making it boring.

There is nothing more epic to watch than a 60 man zerg coming to take IOJ keeps in our BL and then getting pushed out by 15 people after 40 mins of extraordinary PvDoor skills with barely any supply/siege in the keep.
Or maybe that 20 golem zerg that didnt make it past the inner gate at IOJ Hills xD

Lol especially when we wipe out the last 5 or so that run. The most common thing you hear in TS or the server mumble is guys commenting on how unbelievably squishy and just overall bad you guys are.

Ele nerf wasn’t that big lol
It was significantly high to break the the class, and if you say so then you have not played an elementalist, before and after the patch especially a staff elementalist.
And to those that say eles are still op – just lol
Mobility and survivability is out of the picture…..
All these changes and yet Ele’s will still beable to Vapor Form through the portals into keeps/towers etc when in downed state and cannot be attacked, this is the only class that has the ability to escape downed into a safe location. Are you going to boost the others classes so we can escape into a portal to avoid death too????

RTL with 40s cd1 if you dont hit anything? Better place a TON of ambient creatures around on the WvW maps. And take every single skill from thief and warrior that can help their mobility! And take the rush from the snow leopard too!
Better take the support out of the staff ele too! Oh wait, he cant remove more than 1 condition with his 45s cd water field!
At least its a buff to necros and engies.Confusion nerf is ok, retaliation nerf not needed in any kind or form. Warrior new super-trait wont find any use because of the placement.
Guildies were calling me crazy when I said ele will get really boring soon and I rather try to lvl a guardian now. Cant do anything wrong with a guardian! Never in this game!

I am not a very advanced elementalist and have only recently started playing elementalist/GW2 but mist+heal when it comes to fights is the only thing that helps me stay alive – otherwise where is the fun in running all the way back from a wp just to get wiped again? Aoe’s are capped at 5 which makes things even harder to strive in fights in general. Staff eles are like paper and they dont need to be degraded in their defense.
Feel free to prove me wrong but if that’s the scenario then we should all switch to thiefs and rangers….They broke staff ele for good. It’s a shame I spent so much money in this game and now they hit with a nerf right at the core of my playing style (mistform-heal). Actually Mist-form and heal are part of the core mechanic of playing an elementist. By nerfing that Anet is telling everyone that they don’t know what they are doing.

Soooo…. what about the staff ele nerf? Me as a WvW roaming group leader personally couldn’t care less about confusion. Pretty much everyone has high vitality and loads of condition removals so it’s never a real issue. As for our mesmers, yes they were supposedly condition built, but I keep them for the utilities mostly their added damage is just a bonus
So onto serious business. As much as I understand. Water master trait will now only remove 1 condition every 5 seconds from the entire group? This means that The whole idea of support eles is now pretty much removed from the game? I know it’s all about no-holy trinity and stuff but as opposed to our guardians and warriors that can keep hitting the enemy while removing conditions, eles had to sacrifice damage anyway in order to heal and cleanse allies. You may as well remove water attunement alltogether from the game. This will make guardians the only viable class in small scale (5-10) roaming. I may as well tell all my guildies to reroll guardian and we’ll guardian-ball every pug zerg and guild group we find. Seriously think! Guardians have 3 AoE condition removals (turning them into boons) or 6 if we use soldier’s runes with ~30 sec cooldown, this is also paired with the 2 / 10 sec condition removal with healing signet and trait which is a must for every guardian anyway. Warriors can do 2 removals (turns into boons) at ~20 sec cooldown and also 3 (or 2 in most cases due to lack of low cd shouts) removals with soldier’s runes at ~30-35 sec cooldown.
Staff eles now have (!)1(!) Not even AoE(not sure if I understood this one correctly though) and that’s every time healing rain comes off cooldown? That sounds really bad to me. You could’ve made the duration of regen longer and less ticks? That would’ve still made eles less effective anyway but this change just takes them out of the game. Dead people do no damage so I’ll take on guardians now instead of our (very skilled) staff eles. You need to understand that “Guild” Wars is about guilds, not blobs and zergs. Why support unorganised gameplay in a game that’s supposed to be the exact opposite? I hope this change is just some late-april-fool’s joke or something.
As a little addition to this: I don’t understand clearly how this change could be made and noone QQ’d about it. Does noone else have staff eles in their group?
Just as a sidenote I play a guardian. I only have a low level elementalist as I have every other class, to understand the mechanics and provide quality builds for my guildies. Still I think guardians are too strong while elementalists are getting weaker and weaker every patch. Why?

Just a shout out to SF- gf at your Bluelake tower 4v10 went on for about 10 mins. We obviously got wiped but still was fun xD
Just saying but If I was to accuse someone of hacking which is a pretty strong accusation, I’d make sure I have some sort of a concrete proof, rather than a misleading screenshot or a line ‘…I was sort of resting record’, and like Eric said we have seen DH pulling some interesting tricks out of their hats but do you see us cry/spam on the forums and making ANet life’s harder ?

If it was IoJ with all the numbers and siege DH had there that keep would of been taken in a heartbeat. I am kind of curious what all the IoJ haters with their superiority complex would say now?
So today i thought hey why not help my guild (UnS) flip some stuff here in WvW its always a great time. Now mind you we have umm 10 people total on at any given time when we are not sleeping and what not we are used to zergs and we have been the type of guild to do the zerging so its what it is. Its gonna happen and all we can do as people is get better at our game. Well i just wanna know why is it when im there or others from my guild are there and we get killed we see people from AR or DH laughing? Why are you laughing people, we have been pondering this for awhile because you dont see us do that when we rush in with our 10 or less people and obliterate 15 to 20 sometimes even 30 of your guys. I do want to know also how is it possible that some of the keeps are being taken so fast the doors were not even damaged…. maybe the people we are facing are not being truthful to us and have an unfair advantage…. or maybe not ,just throwing it out there. Oh also if you see [UnS] on the battlefield please dont run away from us!
