Guild Wars 2

I have to say i have a lot of respect for Seafarer’s Rest, it is the server where is started the game, but ultimately moved to Desolation where i’m staying. Seafarer’s is incredibly well organised and i used to run with ikshadow on a regular basis, so i know how much of a good cmmdr he is. Good Luck to both Deso and SF! ^^

Took your advice Bloodsteel

Unfortunately i have taken a break from WvW since last tuessday as i was levelling a mesmer to 80 (which i completed last night). That is who i am going to play in WvW, but i do need to gear it. I also need to fins a decent guild for WvW or join/create a Night one. Although i think there are so many small guilds atm, it would be counterproductive to make one.

Zid you do make a valid point, but we need a hadful of people or even just one to gather up any night players under one banner. i still see a fair few people at night just standing in LA or random map chats :P IRON do a good job, but that is only one of a handful of servers, we need more. As for server trasnfers – that has been touched in many other threads and it is a major problem for WvW imo

Desolation needs dedicated WvW players, not people running away at the sight of a loss. We would do so much better as a server if people would just work together

I wasn’t defending night capper, but there is nothing anyone can do about it. Yes there is an advantage to night capping, a huge one, thats why people need to stop whining and actually work together as a server. Every server will have players that play late at night

Personal attacks against other servers isn’t going to get anyone anywhere but irritating people. I’m on Desolation myself, and yes we are getting outdone by night cappers. The biggest solution would be to try and set up Night capping guilds on our server to at least try and counter it. Anet aren’t going to move the ‘French’ servers away from us, they are currently near the top as we are. It’s all competition at the end of the day.

The thing is, I see people blaming ‘Canadians’ – well i originally come from a server called Seafarer’s Rest and they have a good night capping team, and ‘an international server – it’s because they ahve a strong alliance that rotates nightshifts.

You are going to pay for almost any game you play initially, but there is no subscription to this game, unlike other MMO’s, this is doing well imo, if you look at wow you have to pay for the main game + 4 expansions just to be up to date, not to mention £8.99 a month just to play it

F2P means it is not a subscription based game, like world of warcraft etc

ArenaNet’s customer service isn’t that bad, normally they keep us up to date with what is going on, but it could be better. The game as a whole is great considering its F2P. If you want bad customer service, try Swtor – Bioware are terrible

not when all your character5 details are written to a server you cant

Anyone remember the error code from the rollbacks? i hope that doesn’t happen again

I can understand that Anet need to fix things, but one thing that would be great is if they could give us a server message or something 30 seconds prior to disconnect
