So I’ve lived in the same apartment complex for going on 3 years now. They provide our internet connection (I own the router), and I’ve never had a problem with it while playing gw2. However, ~8 months ago I started getting the “Error 7:11:3:191:101” every time I attempedt to actually play the game. For example, I can load and log in to the game and reach the character select screen, but when I choose a character and attempt to load into whatever map I left it in the error code pops up. At first, I thought it was due to my new laptop, but I experience no problems with playing the game anywhere other than in my apartment. Even on the terrible campus wifi the game will run.
Is there anything I can do in order to play the game in my home? I’ve had it suggested to me that it is packet loss and that my apartment complex has started to limit the bandwidth we are able to use. However, when I confronted the office they denied that there has been any changes to the internet they provide. I am not technologically savvy at all, so I have no idea how to go about rectifying this. Any advice would be appreciated!

So I’ve been having this issue for a couple of weeks. I can log on and reach my character select screen, but when I actually select a character the map will try to load and then I get the 7:11:3:191:101 error. I’ve tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game client but I am still encountering the same problem. I’ve managed to actually play on a different computer, but not my personal one. Is anyone else having this problem and/or know of a fix?

For an update, I have managed to access my account, just not on my personal computer. Everything was as it should be, so I’m pretty sure the TX, US ip address is the one that Gaile mentioned. I am currently in the process of completely reinstalling gw2 on my computer; last night I managed to log on for an hour after deleting the latest patch file, but once I tried to change maps or my character I get the good old “Error: 7:11:3:191:101” when I tried to actually load wherever I had left my character in. So hopefully in a couple of hours when gw2 has finished reinstalling everything will have sorted it out. I will post another update if it was successful.
Edit: I forgot to mention that ever since the new patch a file called “THIRDPARTYSOFTWAREREADME” has appeared on my computer. I’ll delete it but then it pop back up when I run gw2. It’s here again as I reinstall the game. Does anyone else have this and/or know what it is? I ran a scan on it and it’s benign.

I can not open my two characters in the same map. I am getting the following error message when loading map. "Net work error. The inability to cennect to Guild Wars 2 may be caused by Internet Ruting issues or a server network failure. If the problem persist, please visit our support website. (code=5:11:3:159:101) "
the map’s name “metrica province” My two character(ranger and ele.) is in that map. I’m getting this error message when open that characters . ? couldnt play that chars. But My other characters are in other other maps and i can open them and no error messages ..
I am having that same issue. I am currently reinstalling the game, I think maybe one of the files in the latest patch became corrupted somehow. But I suggest that you check your security, I had a foreign IP address log on while I was going through my account.
I’m sort of having the same issues, I can reach my “Character Select” screen, but once I choose one it tries to load wherever the character is and then comes up with “Error 7:11:3:191:101”
Upon checking my account security, I did see that I had a “TX, US” logged in, so I immediately terminated it and changed my password. Judging from my “Character Select” screen, everything seems intact, I just can’t actually play. I ran a security scan on my computer and everything seems to be in working order.
