OK so with all this hype around HoT and the influx of new players I got to wondering whether we will actually be getting our usual scheduled festival event, Halloween.

I know someone out there has probably posted about this before but I would like to express the seriousness of the situation here, not all new players will be able to buy HoT straight away and I’ve already encountered players who shot up to 80 as fast as they could and are now bored already.

Wouldn’t it be useful to have Halloween going on in the background as well as the expansion? So that these new F2P players have something exciting to look forward to. It doesn’t even need to be new Halloween content really. I just know that GW2 festivals, Halloween/Wintersday are what I look forward to during the winter months ever since I experienced it in GW1 and it would be a shame for all these new players to miss out because of the expansion.

What do you think? Are we getting a festival or not?

Here’s one of my favorite screenshots, its not very good its on my laptop and its very busy, but it was the moment just before the statue in Lions Arch exploded.

I’ve tried multiple threads but have had no information yet on how to fix this, it flashes the character screen but shortly after (I mean really shortly) the screen flashes black and the client crashes…is there any news on the cause of this or how to fix it?

I got in I’m super excited to test things out, I was in the beta and stress test weekends for the game before launch as well so seeing my email brought back some good memories

I’m experiencing some issues with a horrible visual effect that is all over my characters in game and in the login screen, I’m worried that there is something wrong with my game I’ve tried all the necessary settings changes and nothing happens I’ve also restarted my pc and nothing has changed. It is very painful to look at and I was wondering if anyone else has seen this before and could help me out, my pc can still run things like Skyrim and WoW but for some reason this happens only on guild wars 2 so I don’t think its a graphics card problem, please take a look.
