I guess I’m wearing my tinfoil hat here, but has anybody else seen the new krewe of asura that popped up on the bottom floor of Rata Sum, near the colleges? It’s in kind of a new area- almost a little hole in the wall. There’s about 4 of them down there; Ketto, Yavvi, Worrt, and Nimb. They don’t have any interaction with players, but they have some pretty interesting dialogue involving the SAB.
To sum it up, it seems like they’re trying to use the blueprints of the original super adventure box for some type of new invention that allows its users to learn while they sleep. They seem to be jealous of Moto and his version of the super adventure box, and it appears as though they may have even been the ones to kick Moto out of their krewe (See this story: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/short-story-shadowbox/ ).
Their appearances are pretty interesting as well- the faces on them look like heavily modded versions of asuran faces from character creation. Some of them might be new completely. The hair on the female asura, Yavvi, is completely new from the looks of it. I also found it interesting that her hair is blonde, and that her clothes are pink….. just like the princess in the SAB! Could she have possibly been Moto’s previous love interest?
As for the other asura, Ketto, he seems to be a pretty dark character. He alludes to wanting to test his device unethically, on himself. Yavvi even compares him to the Inquest. If you take a close look at his face, his eyes are dark red, and are slit like a feline’s o____o…. I’ve never seen that on an asura before. He also seems to have some unique armor- never seen it in the game before. I have a feeling that this guy is going to do something heinous in the future.
As for Wortt and Nimb… they don’t say anything at all. It’s just Yavvi and Ketto talking. But Wortt looks adorable lol.
I’ll try to include some pictures and their dialogue. I sat around for about 20 minutes listening to all of it, so I’ll post it up eventually, and maybe you guys can decide. Tell me what you think! And visit them yourself.
