Semi-casual PvX/WvW guild on Blackgate?

So my friend recently got really deep into WvW, and brought me along to check it out a few times over the course of the past month or so. I had a great time, and my buddy has been trying to talk me into looking for a guild to join, so here I am. I’m a full-time student taking summer classes and I clock time into a bunch of other games too, so I can’t typically get on every night, and as much fun as WvW is, I don’t want to give up playing PvE or PvP so it’d be nice if I could find a guild that did stuff in those areas too, or at least doesn’t mind if I’m feeling more in the mood for Living Story or Dungeons than WvW one night (obviously I wouldn’t ask them to call off any plans or drop everything so I can have a group, I just don’t want to get yelled at XD).

My friend suggested [ZEN] to me based on me really liking the small-group/havoc team style of WvW play, but I don’t know if they’d be willing to accept a scrub/filthy casual like me into their ranks, so I thought I’d post here and see what else comes up before I make a decision. Oh, and I’m in the US Eastern timezone, in case that makes a difference.

Can we let clones die at end of combat, instead of target death?

I think the issue is they are dying right as they are summoned because the mobs are aoe’d down so quick in events/dungeons.

This. When I’m going it alone this is way less of an issue, but the more people that are in the area with me the worse it gets. I really like the cooperation aspect of GW2, so it sucks to have to worry when I see other players in the same area as me.

I was thinking this as well back during the beta, and it’s been in the back of my mind ever since. If clones still do next to no damage anyway, I’m not sure what the problem would be with having them stick around until the end of combat; when the target dies they stop attacking until you put hits on a new target, then they go after that one.

Phantasms can be left as is, on account of actually doing damage, but there are a lot of situations right now where if you want clones to do anything whatsoever you need to shatter them immediately.
