As a staff elementalist I have never killed anyone in a 1v1 encounter in WvW. On the other hand I have been facerolled by warriors using hundred blades or thieves with back stab. By the time the warrior is rendered on my screen I’m usually dead getting hit for 4-7k damage. I’m baffled by the “you shouldn’t aoe people rezzing the downed”. That is literally my only chance for a kill.

In a zerg vs. zerg encounter in WvW warriors/thieves are always calling out in vent how many bags they got. I find it unbelievable knowing that I get a few. Maybe I need to learn to play staff. Meteor shower seldom hits anyone. ANY aoe damage needs to knock thieves out of stealth and the ticks on aoe need to be more frequent if I’m ever going to hit them.

Remove health regeneration while in stealth.

Precursors are around 1000’s of gold on my server. I don’t even try.

On medium settings I was getting 10 FPS before installing service pack 2 and now it’s around 35.

I use a staff ele in wvw.

I have the exotic gear from HotW, 5 Superior runes of the Eagle and 1 Superior rune of Baelfire. I have exotic berserker accessories two with Chrysocola and the rest Rubies. My staff is only a masterwork staff that dropped for me.

I usually use Signet of Fire, Arcane Blast, and Mist Form.

I’m going to try and implement some of the information from this thread but I have never on my best day done more than 3k against a player. Most of the time enemies stand in my aoe but rarely take damage. I basically use the same strategies as you’ve outlined but I’ve never won a 1v1 encounter or been able to escape a melee player. I’ve hit spiders for 110k but they had it coming….lol

1) Type in chat the location of the event, DO NOT HIT ENTER
2) Move your mouse to the bottom right of the screen and click the button to open your map
3) Hold the shift key and click on the nearest waypoint
4) Type a second line giving directions from that waypoint

I’ve mainly used scepter-dagger to lvl pve by myself. I think the real trick is switching attunements and using dodge effectively. The hardest part for me is taking on too many mobs at once or some skill point challenges.

I think the Norn female could use some facial or body scars. I really think they did a great job on voice acting and zone creation. I think that all armor sets should be more practical and less frilly for the Norn. I think I found a normal looking body size and face without makeup for Norn Female Elementalist. I would love the Stag Cultural Armor if she could wear it.

I just bought this game on Amazon.com and received a game key. I checked my system meetings the minimum requirements and downloaded the application Gw2Setup. When I run the application it download exactly 10234 kB before the download rate goes to zero and nothing happens. I turned off all of my internet firewalls and internet security and the same thing happens. Any help please.
