jute is easily attainable if you salvage everything you would have it anyway. As for the trophy mats you can a) buy them on the traiding post or b) not take professions that lean on them such as cooking and jeweler

as for point 3. salavge leather armor you get leather this isnt needed

cooking exists and pebbles drop quite a bit, given th eamount of copper you need to get into silver you wind up with way to many gems usually and not enough ore. Also doing well in wvw gives a buff to pebble potential.

as for point 1, I happen to agree but mostly cause I hate having to get sooooooo much ore. But at the same time given that nodes are player specific not world based as in wow farming is not nearly as annoying and just something a crafter learns to live with.

not sure what the forest looks like in spvp but you can get plant looking models in caldean forest (sylvari area)

try sword/pistol and staff offhand I would say that is prob your best bet. There are a few ways to build a mesmer but focusing on phantas dmg is always fun. If people dont focus the illussions and phantas they usually explode while u have quite a few ways to duck out of dmg.
