Also on Victory or Death, tried completing it 4 times in a row. Everytime disconnected 15-30mins in. I NEVER get disconnected anywhere else. Tried -repair at game startup, but no luck.
Staff #2 is your friend(quick cooldown and regeneration boons. And the Flesh of the Master trait helps loads keeping them up
It’s a mix of charr heavy T1’s(legs) T3 (chest+helm), and these are the shoulders/gloves/boots http://argos-soft.net/GW2/ArmorGallery/index.php?color=10&sex=0&race=1&w=3&skinID=armadai&lang=en

From patch notes:
“Those who remain until the miasma reaches lethality, participants will be rewarded with daily Dragonite Ore, champion bags, Blade Shards, and masterwork items.
For players who attain the highest tier, there’s a chance for ascended materials and rewards from previous Living World releases.”
hmmmmms!
Ugh made a few mistakes in some of those builds, hopefully corrected them now! These are post patch. Things that changed were base minion HP was buffed (except for pvp), Blood trait line was tweaked to give better damage with our siphoning heals. And also buffs to the warhorn trait in curses. Only nerf was Bloodthirst from blood.
So basically it was mainly a buff patch. Especially to minion builds.
PvE/dungeon:
Power build are the dominant force in pve. I recomend Spoj’s dagger build http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQRBIhhu1IjW6elmxG9eCA6RuS7cMjjXm+w6A-jAyAY/BRTRgJNgUhAl8KiGbxtIas6aMlLRUdQAjC-e
Condition: Can go condition, not really recommended, but it’s fun taking on a sea of mobs, can be useful in dungeons if there’s no other condition build class. You can put the extra 10 in spite for dhuumfire, death for more staff traits

WvW:
Roaming: Go condition, with full Rabid, Runes are up to you, Undead runes are nice and cheap. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNAW7YjMat7xbeb07JEoHvn0AiRKOmghSR5kOA-jwBBYhCy0CwUFQkHA5QFRjVliIq2jgIqGA-e
Zerg: Go Power, Berserkers might be fine, but since it’s WVW season there’s some good groups out there a mix of knights with cavalier accessories might be good.
Good reccomendation would be Ascii’s wellomancer

PvP:
Basically almost the same as WvW roaming build. I go full rabid and get runes of the necromancer(20%) longer fear. with 30% duration from spite 20% fear from runes, and 50% longer fear duration trait, you’ll proc 2 ticks of damage.
MM: basic build

can put the spare 10 in Death or Blood. Armor ideally soldiers, but in PVE anything goes with berserkers.
These seem to be the “go to builds” . But it’s important to remember to use them as guides. As you get to know the class better, find your own playstyle. For example, in wvw zerg i settled on some strange mix of spoj and acsii with spectral traits and runes of earth. Quite a bit of protection I am comfortable with and still a bit of power and it works for me.
sorry if any mistakes, tired!

^ agreed! I was quite excited by this. Great news about the returning of limited items, however the sale seemed to be implied it was gonna be a SALE, discounts and all! Now also with the news of drip feeding the items daily, it’s just a bit anti-climactic.
Hope there’s some new stuff thrown into the mix
