Guild Wars 2

Hello,

I am thinking of returning to play the game again and give it another try. It’s probably been a good year or more since I last played. My main character was a Mesmer and I got to about level 48. I spent most of that time leveling with a staff. I was wondering what is the current situation with the staff and if its still a viable play options. If it is, are there any links to any current guides or builds that I can review? Any current builds you guys can throw up would be great!

Also, I am not 100% stuck with the staff and I am willing to look at other builds if there is something out there far out performing over the other weapons. Like I said, I have been out of the loop for a while now. Thanks everyone!

Need some help here from you mesmer vets. I just hit level 40 and I’m trying to decide on how to spend my skill points. Currently I really like using the staff as my main weapon. My backup weapon is a toss up at this point. I kind of play around with all of them. What I need from you guys is advice how what to put my points into and what to start focusing on as I level up towards 60. What do you guys say? Thanks!
