Bought the game on sale 6 months ago, that’s it.

The game has been marketed as Buy2Play, and that’s what I did. If it wasn’t I wouldn’t be here.

I’ve never been a fan of in-game micro-transactions/stores, in many games it has a high chance of becoming the main focus of development with all the other aspects as a mere packaging eye-candy.

Since the topic focus is now GvG can I ask the GvG scene a favor?

This evening on Elona BL WIC had 3 people inside and 15+ queued for at least 1 hour or more between 8 PM and 9 PM CET, and we got word that some gvg was taking place there. We had to move to EB altough we were scheduled to be on ERBL.

Isn’t possible for you guys to set up your GvGs outside primetime?

1 hour queues are getting more common on Piken during prime, whereas mornings/afternoons or even late nights are queueless and most often outmanned.

Thanks in advance if anyone would be so kind to comply.

Ofc I know most of Deso players are nice guys.

I’m just having fun watching some Forum Boasting Wannabes who have to complete their daily “How am I going to embarass myself today on the forums?” achievement.

While your last comment might have been true the first 1-2 months of the game it quickly changed and for a 10 months the wvw “meta” is so far that you can only go up in rankings if you have either a) a massive massive night force or b) a decent night force and a massive massive day (not necessarily prime time!) force.

I’m perfectly aware that as of now coverage beats everything else. That’s why many Piken guilds/players don’t care about points, their server being Medium Pop. with no chance to field T1 numbers.

I myself would gladly trade places with Deso at rank #6. I’ve never been a fan of 2h long queues and being rotofarmed by blobs while being hopelessly stuck with skill lag.

Topic title shold have been ‘Desolation trololol’ honestly, since in every post in the last 2 months Deso kitten Champions have been boasting “here we come Vizunah! muahahha!” and now they rank #6 close to be downgraded to #7.

Meanwhile most Piken WvWers don’t give a kitten’s behind about ranks and points…

There are 12 types of Conditions and 9 types of Boons, many of which are reduntant. My guess is that a great deal of server-side computation and net bandwidth goes into keeping dynamic track of all those buffs/debuffs, their stack numbers and durations. And when a large number of players clash in a small area the servers go nuts.

A simple suggestion would be to rethink and merge the condition/boon numbers and effects.

For examble:
- Bleeding and Torment do almost the same thing. Merge.
- Cripple and Chill also. Merge.
- Poison and weakness could also be merged, by removing the damage per second and adding the weakness debuffs.

And so on.

So much for the “superior skills and ability to rally PUGS at all times”….

Oh well. Since both Piken and SFR have a long history of frowning upon braindead blobs, how about we both agree NOT to blob at least in borderlands?

I know Eternal Blobbingrounds is out of the question, since you only go to EB to level up fast an alt by uberblobbing, but maybe we can try to keep groups between 20 and 40 in the other maps.

Although tonight PUGs were much harder to discipline and poor Boothy and a few of us got rotfstomped by the Endless Swarm before bed… :\

Thanks to Commander Boothy [FG] for the epic fun we had in EB around Stonemist last night!

Boothy is a new commander and is doing his best to adapt to the EB play-style. It’s great to see something positive as usually EB is full of backseat commanders. I’ll be sure to pass on the message!

We managed to save SM at least 3 times against overwhelming manpiles of both kodash and AR swarming in from all sides during late primetime.

Tip of my hat to Boothy for constant spamming in /say to rally and discipline our PUGs.
