I would suggest trying to follow the commander instead of going braveheart and running off on your own. You said your server only gets things done with a zerg, so stick with that zerg =] If possible, join your servers teamspeak.
If you stick with the group, anything with aoe and built to survive will be ok.

just realized that while this is basics for many, it might not be for you if you’re new. Often a commander will have a zerg group up first, buff, and then run as a group into the other zerg. Typing out to stack, buff might, use blast finishers every stop would take too much time, so that kinda stuff is usually said on voicechat. If you’re unable to listen to the voicechat, just stick to the guy with the icon.

That said, I wouldn’t go as far as you did and describe a Surmian primetime as PvD ever – you guys give some great fights and hit us very hard!

I meant it as in nightcapping is no more PvD than primetime. There’s plenty people online, and there have been nights where other servers had equal numbers. Stronger at certain times doesn’t instantly mean PvD.

Also gotta say I’m glad to see some more people post here about actual fights now =p

A lot of people seem convinced that GH has nobody online in the night, as if your entire server turns off the light and closes the door behind them for 8 hours. It’s never nobody, you still have people capping & defending at night, just less.
How is it so much worse that you’re outnumbered at night, and totally fine that we’re outnumbered during primetime? Most nights it’s no more PvD for us than it is for you at primetime.

Also, regarding the comments that seem to happen in these matchup threads, whining just makes me want to focus on whichever server complains the most. So in the end, you’re proving yourself right. I want GH to lose.

Please note, I say “I”. I don’t belong to any big guild and speak only for myself. No big conspiracy here, sorry folks.

Asides from all this, it’s just tactics. Of course most people will go after the opponent they’ve got the best chance against. Sucks if it happens to be you, but that’s the game.

Dear a-net, I have no idea if this has been requested before, so I’m just hoping I’m not posting a duplicate thread.
Me & several friends would very much like to duel eachother, which at the moment is terribly hard to do. We’ll ask nicely in map chat in the pvp maps, go to lobbys that have no players in them,.. but every time, people will join a map that has only 2 players in them… and we’ll have to try again elsewhere.

Would it be possible to allow us to duel in the Heart of the Mists? That would be a large area with very few players in it currently, where we could duel without bothering anyone.

I have not seen anybody exploit anything on our server until this week. Something about getting outmanned with 10:1 odds and almost constantly having a score below 50 has made some people care less about playing fair. I don’t like this. I would very much like to go back to having a chance.
Next week will probably be same or worse, and many of the regular wvw players are taking a PvE week because of how utterly pointless it is at the moment.

I must say, we’ve also never faced a server before that cheats so much. Maybe it’s the huge amount of players, more bad mixed in,.. but it’s become quite common to see messages in team about players walking through walls, taking down trebs that are safely inside one of our towers, and other crap.

To all the Surmia who had a party with us in EB this evening, thank you. It was great fun. My apologies for some of our players who insisted on trying to kill you. I was very impressed when a small group of you made it into our spawn area to dance with us.
I’d also like to thank you for the keg & guild banquet [DEX] put up, and I’ve ignored the messages that this was secretly done to make us drunk and fall over, which would make us easier to kill.

None of this was fictional. Really had a great night =)

ps: Sorry for scratching the paint on SM. We were 4 people out walking, not quite sure what came over us. Very sorry!

oh, and should the naked Norn read this, send me a message. I was the naked Sylvari.

I was far away from the door, for a long enough period of time to not have dots or whatever on me. And since the player were behind the bloody walls, I could not see them. All I have is a screeny of my combat log which was taken after the fact, and wouldn’t prove anything. This just seems to be the way your guild operates, so all I can see is your guild doing their best to ruin the lower tier and feeling very proud of yourselves. And you can’t even play fair to do it.

Sadly, since one or more players were killing me through the walls, I was unable to select them and report them for cheating. Please, just don’t cheat. It’s that simple. This was a group of Xaoc players, so look in your own guild.

I’m also curious if Vabbi players are happy with this. I happen to like my lower tier server, where it’s not too crowded and the players are friendly. I would hate to see my server dragged to the top tier into the mess & egos & queues.
