As a rule I prefer not to pre-purchase. I buy products after they are released and have been reviewed. The language in this implies that these newly added rewards are only for pre-purchasing. Is that correct? Thank you for a reply and for addressing a couple of the issues, at least for those that will pre-purchase, but I’m still a little in the dark here, too much so to give up $50 quite yet.
No release date + Unclear deal of the pre-purchase + Unclear amount of new playable content + Don’t care much for guild halls and limited gliding = Not sold quite yet.
New game content has not, and does not have to limit access to new areas, but this might be an exception, the way they are handling this one.
I got eye of the north for 99 cents 3 months after it came out at target. Wait to buy this expansion, and it too will come down. Obviously I got an obscenely good deal that will not happen with this. All I ask of this community is to use your money to show your opinion. Calling someone a child because they feel they should get more for their money, or a fool for buying something without a release date doesn’t help.
Just buy it or don’t. If you are worried that this will be low content and will not come out too fast, or will be full of stuff that isn’t that compelling , don’t buy it. Anet will get the message that way. If you want to buy it based on what you know, do it and they will use this money to try to market to you. Working Capitalism is when people buy the best product for the lowest price. No one here is wrong so lets be nice.
I plan on eating a quesadilla, and then taking a nap.

There seems to be a lot of confusion here. People are upset that they are paying $50 to buy their game again bundled with the new expansion. There is not enough information out about the content here. If it is $50 worth of content and then the game is thrown in sure, I understand, but if this is 2 new silver-waste sized areas, 1 new class, and 4 hours of plot, then its not worth $50 and we will all assume that the bundle was made as an excuse to make us pay more. With so little info on how much actual new game content is in HoT, this looks to most of us like a big **** you to all of your player-base. Please give us more actual information so we can either praise your hard work or go get our pitchforks.
