I am Lumin, I play Guild Wars 2, make videos for YouTube and I’m about to present to you the saddest video I’ve made in my life… Before opening it you’d better get yourself a tissue… Got one? Good!
Here it is: Remember the Whales
I feel there really aren’t enough Guild Wars 2 ‘machinima’ type videos, or just fun and creative videos, out there at the moment… For whatever reason. I guess it could come down to GW2’s UI and controls not being set up to handle it properly, the performance not being amazing on most PC’s or maybe just that ArenaNet don’t really support t hose that make the videos much, but regardless, I think its important to get the word out there about stuff like this! It is fun! It could get people that weren’t otherwise interested in the game, interested, and well it is just plain pretty at times! ^.^
So for this video I just thought that the whales that washed up on the shores of Lion’s Arch during the buildup to the Lost Shores event disappeared and faded from memory a little too fast… So I decided to immortalize them, and their situation, so they would never be forgotten. Ever.
The track used in the video is Black Mesa OST – End Credits Part 2, if you were wondering, and fits with the mood I was going for brilliantly. The video took a bit of time, effort and crazy editing to get done but it was, in my opinion… Well worth the lot of it!
