Guild Wars 2

Hope everybody is well and have been enjoying what GW2 has had to offer! Bit of context. I was, and still am, a massive fan of the Guild Wars Universe, I remember spending a lot of time many years ago visiting cons and getting very excited for the release. After endless hours I reached endgame Pre-Thorns on several characters, but due to other implications, dropped off. I now have a lot of spare time throughout the Summer and I would like to get back involved, but of course, I’ve got questions!

1. Is GW2 currently in a good place for returning players?
2. I assume I have to grab Thorns to get involved with current content?
3. Have there been any major graphical overhauls that will limit my system being able to run the game?
4. Any issues to be aware of?

Hey there, my name’s Micah or “Bountai” online, Asura Guardian. I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 casually since release, and I’m still yet to find that place where I can get to know other players and have some memorable times with.

I’m currently on ‘Piken Square’ but I should be able to swap and/or guest onto other servers with no issues. I mainly play PvE, doing dungeon runs, achievements, and just taking my time with this beaut of a game.

Hey there. I have been playing and running Guild Wars 2 just fine for the past three months until today when i received the error “A serious error has occurred that prevents the program from continuing to run” on the start up, login screen. I uninstalled the game as a result, but now when I go to install it again via disk i still receive this error. Please help!
