I think some have misunderstand what is actually going on. It gives you the warning when you enter the house that is inside the portal but not the portal that you enter from Rata Sum.

The Rata Sum portal is the one that removes the buff. By the time you get to the warning message, your buff have already been removed by entering the zone from Rata Sum.

Test it for yourself like me. Eat food > Enter portal in Rata Sum > Turn around and jump back out > All buffs gone. No warning messages.

Yes there is a warning when you enter the Instance INSIDE the Super Adventure Box but there is no warning when you enter through the portal in Rata Sum. That is the portal that takes away buffs.

I just confirmed it by eating food then entering the portal and leaving right away and my food buff were gone. No warning message or anything.

I also lost my Birthday gift to this bug. I went in and ran to the portal inside that said it would removes my buff if I entered and I said screw that I want to keep my birthday gift. Left and noticed it was gone.
