Hey thanks for the reply. As far as I know we are both running stock with no overclocking. I will check the SSD firmware. Are there any diagnostic tools I can use to determine where my video card is plugged in, or do I just need to manually do it?
I’ve been noticing this problem for awhile, but recently it’s become rather annoying. My husband and I have almost identical computers:
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k
RAM: 8GB DDR3 RAM
HDD: 120 GB OCZ Vertex3 SSD
The only difference is that my husband has an nVidia 560 TI and I have an nVidia 660. However, he has drastically better performance in GW2 than I do. He loads into zones within seconds while I take at least 10-20 seconds; in Lion’s Arch, he experiences 50+ FPS, while I’m struggling with 20, 30 tops, sometimes as low as 15.
I have updated my graphics drivers and ran a repair on my Guild Wars 2 install. However, the problem still exists. We recently ran Furmark on both our computers… my computer ran at 30 FPS while his ran at 20, so I’m very confused as to why my GW2 performance is so much worse. We have identical computers except for me having a better video card… so why is my FPS worse than his? We’re on the same network, so it’s not an ISP issue.
I’ve also followed the tips in the FPS sticky to no avail.
This is becoming very annoying… any suggestions? I’ve attached my GW2 NetworkDiag for Anet if they see this thread.
