Welcome to T8.

Keeping it clean and staying classy is difficult for anyone when you’ve spent two months being curb stomped on a weekly basis.
Staying classy and sportsman-like is difficult when your opposition seems to have largely given up for most of that time frame.

Change seems to be in the wind, how ever temporary it may be. So it is refreshing to at least have challenging battles once again.
How long will it last? Who can really say?

I imagine that this week coming, starting tonight, will provide a true test of where things stand for this tier and Sorrow’s Furnace.

I for one am pretty tired of fighting the same two servers for yet another week. And I am tired of this because just when we think there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, ANet goes and does something ridiculous and open the flood gates to free transfers.

Yes, I know this is to help with “balance issues” and provide folks from the upper tiers the ability to actually get into WvW for a change. (I hear them upper tiers have 3 and 4 hour ques….sick) so, welcome to the field of battle once again.

I just wish ANet would stop changing things so that we could actually see who comes out on top and finally gets out of T8, and who doesn’t. Their mucking about with the Glicko (or not) and allowing free transfers (When this was CLEARLY a bad idea before) is not only discouraging, it’s almost as if ANet themselves is against the idea of SF moving out of this tier.

I know I know, that may be a bit extreme, perhaps even a little paranoid or “conspiracy theorist” of me to say, but it sure is frustrating to go one week after another after another after another having the same opponents, catching the same hate, the same forum flaming, and on and on. It’s exhausting and I have no doubt many on all 3 servers in this tier are frakkin tired of it.

I know it refers to the original GW game in the wiki but these are the same titles and it would seem you require the same amount of points to obtain each rank.

To my knowledge, I hadn’t ever been on the receiving end of any of these consumables until last night when a Thief from Yarr, a regular visitor to the SF borderland, started using the Gear consumable against a group of us.

There were two FC thieves against 5 of us. Once that thief started throwing that item, none of us could move, were continually dazed, knocked down until we were all eventually killed. All from the repeated use of this one item.

Obviously anyone could easily go and pick these things up and use them in similar fashion and, after that incident, I think I may just start utilizing this cheap, overpowered, crap move against FC at every opportunity, shoot video of it and post them here in the hopes that Anet sees how ridiculous and game-breaking that item is for WvW.

GG Yarr Thieves. I had respect. Now, not so much.

I only ask because for the past couple weeks these were published Friday night after reset. Here it Is Monday and still nadda. Did I miss something?

I’m getting really tired of seeing “Sorrow’s Furnace Invader laughs”

When I first started doing WvW I thought this was normal, expected behavior. I had ET and FC do this kind of thing regularly. Laughing, dancing on the corpse, etc. so of course, I started to do this same thing right back. Once I fell in with people more experienced they showed me the benefits of refraining from the pointless boasting and peen waving.

Still, I see this happen all the time and it is not exclusive to SF players, not by a long shot.
You want SF peeps not to do this sort of thing? Stop doing it your self.

We shall see. I think SF is a much different server in WVW than a couple months ago. Should be obvious. I know I and many others look forward to finally facing new opponents. :-)

What’s up guys! Maephina here just saying hello and that I’ve had a blast doing so much battle over the past week it’s been pretty epic.
To those who wonder what’s happened with regard to our point lead this past week, I would like to give a shout out to Banjo, Oceanid, Yuki, Dreadmode, and a host of other commanders and players who have taken the lead to really ramp up the direction our battles have gone.

I tend to think that what has happened is assertive and well organized strategy and direction from people on the field.

Also I’d like to give a shout out to Sanctum Chrae on our server for getting me addicted to helping defend our homeland while the battle rages in EB.

Let’s keep it up!
