The scholar give around 200 more total damage than ranger however ranger runes increase the crit chance and give a damage bonus when your pet is alive. Which rune is more viable for a WvW roaming ranger?

Hello, so for about 1 week now, I have been working on getting Volcanus the exotic greatsword. I have got 3 of the 4 components needed to craft apart from the 250 molten lodestones.

For the Vial of Liquid Flame I transmuted both the 100 Destroyer Lodestones and the 100 Molten ones. So my question is, what is the most efficient way to obtain 250 molten lodestones? Should I farm gold to buy them all (Adds up to ~186G) or transmute cores?
