Yeah guys, this is totally normal and not a bug whatsoever.
Insulting that the loot is crap.
Happening on Far Shiverpeaks as well (overflows as well).

Just OC’d my CPU to handle 3.66 GHz (it’s stable, don’t worry) though it didn’t improve my FPS at all.
Keep in mind that not a single core/thread gets over 50% utilisation, so I really doubt my CPU is the bottleneck. My GPU on the other hand gets constant 100% usage (while it worked just fine yesterday).
So… Aliens?

For some reason it worked fine again for one day yesterday (50-60 FPS on High), then today it turned back to the crap 20 FPS.
No idea where the problem lies, changing any settings doesn’t matter much, there’s like 18 FPS difference between the absolute lowest settings and the absolute highest settings…
Also, It’s not Lion’s Arch, it’s everywhere…
It’s not a laptop though, it’s a desktop GPU and I’ve done almost everything to try to fix this and it’s seriously starting to annoy me…
So far I’ve tried:
- Repairing GW2
- Deleting local.dat
- Updating drivers
- Checking other intensive games to see if my GPU is broken (it’s not)
- Tried the absolute lowest of settings (38 FPS average)
- Tried the absolute highest settings (20 FPS average)
- Tried the auto-detect feature (20 FPS average, all High)
I’m starting to think it’s because of horrible optimization. If this is the case I’ll just play another game because this is quite saddening.
My CPU is an i7 920 clocked at 2.67 GHz and is not the bottleneck (never above 25% usage while playing)
Good day,
I just finished exams so I finally got some spare time to enjoy spending on GuildWars2. I got the game at launch and could play it at 60 FPS on High settings without any real issues. I stopped playing the moment my semesterbegan (end of September) and hadn’t played since.
Today I patched my client, logged in and immediately noticed a severe drop in FPS (it’s around 17-18 FPS now with the same settings).
My driver is up-to-date so I really don’t know what’s causing this. Did something change while I didn’t play? Am I forgetting something?
GPU is at 100% usage and is a HD5870 (not exactly low-tier, but not recent either)
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Just a small bug I discovered after testing skills.
The Necromancer skill “Spectral Walk” is supposed to give a 33s swiftness boost but the boost sometimes gets randomly removed after exactly 15s (18 s remaining).
Applying the “Sever Spectral Bond” followup has no effect on the bug appearing or not.
This was tested without any enemies in the area.
It also didn’t happen frequently, just enough for me to notice it.
It appears to me that the lvl 5 Death Magic trait spawn a jagged horror when you kill an opponent every 30 secs) and the Lich Transformation ultimate’s “Mark Horror” are both bugged in the way that the minions spawned from those skills have an extreme amount of health degeneration, sometimes not even able to land a single blow before dying because of it.
This may be intentional as the minions could only serve as a slight decoy, but I don’t recall it being so in the Beta (especially the ultimate minions). It also makes the minions kind of useless (especially the ultimate minions!).
Can someone confirm this is to be intentional or a bug? Thank you!
Extra: Timed the duration of a single minion’s life to be around 7-8 seconds without any enemy attacking it, losing around 194 health each second at me being lvl 55.
