Anyone here also used to play Ultima Online?

I love the balancing aspect of Guild Wars 2 especially in PvP arenas.. Rather than being gear based it remains skill based, which is rare to find in an MMO nowadays.
Reminds me of an old game I used to play: Ultima Online. Which is actually where I met the friend of mine that turned me on to Guild Wars 1 when it first came out..

ANYONE who actually looted the chest and stated anything less than a 9 or 10 for Loot is either lying to lessen the blow on those who were unable to loot, or un-educated on how long it takes to farm. The two guaranteed items plus 2 exotics results in an easy 30-50gold worth of treasure (25+ hours of farm through 3 hours of event) and some made much more than that. The rewards were over the top, its extremely frustrating that a crash prevented many of us to miss out on the chest and event completion.

Same issue. Every other day or so I will be disconnected for “incorrect password” and kicked from the game. Frustrating when it happens and i’m in Fractals of the Mists and i miss out completely and my group suffers as well.

Hello, I have been using the Superior Sigil of Leeching frequently and I have noticed that when the buff effect is on after swapping to the weapon with the Sigil, the effect will go away when doing certain things. The Sigil states the Next Attack will steal some health after swapping to the weapon containing the sigil. This is not true in many instances. Only tested this on a thief but it is quite annoying. 1) Dodging with caltrops or using caltrops will remove the life-steal buff – also the life is not stolen, the damage is not done when an enemy hits the caltrops, the effect just goes away. Tested this. Regular dodging without leaving behind caltrops trait does not effect the buff and works fine. 2) Using infiltrators arrow to move will use the effect, also even if i use infiltrators arrow on an enemy the effect will go away yet the damage is not applied nor is the life stolen. 3) Blinding powder also removes the buff, the trait line that allows you to use blinding powder when taking falling damage also removes the buff. Again, no damage is done to the effected enemy, the buff is just removed. This becomes an issue in WvW especially when I swap weapons and dodge(with caltrops) then attack, or swap weapons then take falling damage(with blinding powder trait) then attack, etc. One could argue that i need to time my weapon swap to avoid this – which i do. The problem lies in the description of what the sigil does is not accurate to how it actually functions in-game. I enjoy using the sigil and would like to continue using it especially after this is fixed. I imagine other on hit sigils such as Doom have the same issue. These were just 3 things I noticed that caused this issue, I imagine other traits, abilities, different class skills, and effects will also result in the buff being diminished. Sorry about all the grammatical errors.. Just a quick comment. Would appreciate some feedback!

Hello, I submitted a ticket 3 days prior to now on Oct. 31st. No responses up to this moment. My account was terminated due to botting. At first I assumed the reason was me playing so often with my wife. After speaking to some people on my wife’s account I realized it was something else.. Being a father, I try to encourage my children to play with the family. My wife and I often let my 4 and 5 year old play Guild Wars 2 on my account. I have noticed they received player messages on occasion in game stating that they were reported for “botting” or asking if they were bots. I ignored the comments that I noticed as they were inaccurate accusations. My kids are very young, and don’t fully understand the game. They run around exploring, dying frequently, breaking armor and attacking the landscape. I understand the awkwardness of me having youngsters playing my account, and I can keep them occupied with other games until they are a bit older. I would really appreciate if you could look into this issue as my wife is growing restless playing without me.. Thank you for your time

I am experiencing a similar issue.. [Incident: 121031-002997] My game shut down and I received an error when trying to log back in stating that my account had been terminated due to botting. My wife and I recently purchased Guild Wars 2 and neither of us support this type of behavior let alone exercise it. We have been very actively (online for the majority of each day since the date of purchase) playing together prior to this issue, although she is not banned(perhaps this is the cause of the issue?). GM Lemoncobra has very productively helped my wife and myself resolve a similar issue previously in Guild Wars. Hope to get this resolved as soon as possible.Thanks in advance.
