Thanks Jairon. Finding a good group where personalities and your individual character meshes, is not always easy.

I would be interested in meeting Xavier or you in game at some point (or some of your guild representatives) to see if we are a good fit.

I don’t want to be one of those people that joins guilds haphazardly and then leaves a few days later. =)

I have played a handful of other MMOs (Rift, SwTOR, STO), but lately have been into GW2. I am looking for a good group of people to play and socialize with.

I am looking for a casual group with mature and helpful players. I have raided in other MMOs but our group was not hard-core. We learned the dungeons and had a verity of skill sets. Everyone was patient and tried to help each other out as well as just had a lot of fun together.

I would like to find a guild like that here. It really made playing the game fun. =) I also don’t like to blindly join a group just to figure out if we are a good fit. I would like to play with some of the members first and so we can get to know each other and both decide if we are a good fit.

I play a lot of alts and don’t consider myself to have a main right now. All the classes are pretty fun and I like to see the different abilities, etc. I also do not have any 80s yet. My highest is a 51 and start as low as 26.

Support REALLY needs to work on their reading comprehension skills too.

They keep asking for things that I already told them I don’t have on my system. (Arenanet.log)

Troubleshooting this is time consuming enough without having to go back and forth over the same questions.

I tried re-installing the game client today. No change. Still crashes after about 5 min of play. Waiting on Tech Support to give me my next things to try. disabling all non-Microsoft processes and start-up applications had no impact either.

Well I tried uninstalling and re-installing the game client. No change. I had opened a ticket with Tech support. They suggested disabling all non-Microsoft services and startup applications using MSCONFIG. I did that and still no change.

I sent them a new Game Advisor report with all this stuff disabled to see if they can figure out what is causing it now.

Whatever it is, it was not there pre-Jan 28th.

You may be right. I just read another post where someone with a similar issue uninstalled and re installed the client.

If this is true, the devs need to put some effort in the update and even repair process to help mitigate issues like this.

I am working from home today… maybe give that a try.

I tried completely removing my ATI drivers and reinstalling the latest 13.2 beta drivers. No change.

Since this latest game update, I simply cannot play this game for more than about 5 min before the whole system freezes and needs to be power cycled.

Where can I see when the next update is scheduled so I can see when I might be able to play again?

Until then I can go back to SWTOR, STO, and Rift. =)

I went ahead and tried using the new ATI Beta drivers and that did not help either. Whatever they did in this update, it broke some clients.

I decided to try some of the suggestions posted by Ashley.

I wont try all of them, as they are very time consuming and the fact that the game played beautifully before this latest patch leads me to believe it is not a DirectX, Graphics Driver, Router, or similar issue.

I tried the repair option with no change.

Not sure my issue is the same, but it is similar. Where my game freezes. Sometimes the game is visibly frozen, sometimes (more often) all three of my monitors display some random color, but not black.

In all cases, it happens within 10 min of logging in. It happens 100% of the time too. (Since the latest update)

I have been having this issue for weeks myself. Just stumbled across this thread so I thought I would add my name to the afflicted.

I have Razer Mamba with Driver 2.01 and firmware 1.13 (in wired mode)

I just downloaded the update today. Now my game crashes after about 5-10 min. It is very consistent. It has required me to restart my PC each time. All three of my displays freeze. I have tried to log in 4 times now and 4 times the game has caused my system to hard freeze each time.
