WOOT! Created a ticket on 9/4 at about 3pm PST, and here we are 9/12 at about 3pm PST still unresolved.
I will say that a nice GM gave me hope when he asked for more information 2 days ago. I promptly replied and now I’m settling in for a few more weeks before I get to play the game that I’ve been unable to play almost as long as I’ve played.
Just one question: If arena.net is not in the wrong AT ALL with the way they set things up. And they don’t admit having the worst [also read as non-existent] verification security in the world. How then did some ‘Chinese’ hacker log in and change my account email and name (which from the looks of it took all of 5min) so easily, but the incompetent service provider takes over 8 days to change it back?
Before people point fingers at me and claim that I’m the dude who used some kind of 1234password password, I will admit that I have used my old (hacked) GW2 password and email for another game in the past. What game you may ask? Guild Wars, yes… the first one. So unless it was Arena-net’s database that was hacked, this password/email combo has only been involved with one other game. Their previous game.
I would love to play by this weekend end but to be honest I can’t hold my breath that long(weak lungs). I got a business trip starting Monday next week and ending on Friday, so don’t fret Arena-net, you’ve got a whole extra week to try and figure out how the tide comes in and goes out.
I’ve been patient, I’ve been irate. Now I’m just amused, simply because Arena-net seems to believe that they’ve done nothing wrong and are just trying to fix other peoples problems.

Okay, so on Monday around noon (EST) I was contacted to give more information about my account (purchase info). That was almost 6 days exactly after I posted the ticket (9/4). I replied after I got home from work (about 8pm). They said they’d get back to me as soon as possible. I did my best to provide the information required (REALLY wish Arenanet would have emailed serial codes instead of asking us to copy and paste… again sloppy), so hopefully today I will get some information because we’re rapidly approaching 8 days.
Already posted awhile ago, so sorry for reposting the ticket number but for your records: [Incident: 120905-000334]

Woot — Over 120 hours waiting for ‘more information’ or what normal humans call-- ANY information.
Go go Arena.net, tomorrow after work we can celebrate a 144 hour NO RESPONSE, INFORMATION, ETA, ETC. ticket!!!!

Please, please, please read this: Do not submit multiple tickets. Submit one ticket and update it with more information, or update it to ask for more information about your status. Multiple tickets clog the queues, and they actually slow the process of answering you.
Thank you for reading.
Update to ask for ‘MORE’ information about your status?!
How about ANY information? Been hacked since Tuesday at 6pm PST (that’s 110hrs). At what wait time do we get the first bit of information? I’m interested so I can understand when to expect ‘MORE’ information.
Already posted my ticket on this board two days ago. (Not going to post again per Gaile’s request).

Account restored.
I put my ticket in on the morning of the third. Waited and responded to all emails I recieved and just had my account restored. No ban and no characters or items were touched.
I hope this gives some people hope. Hang in there.
That’s just the problem right there. How are these being prioritized at all? Looks like others have been waiting since release others a week, two weeks, etc…
I assume some (albeit not all) people are grossly exaggerating their wait. I for one have been waiting since the afternoon of the 4th so ‘IF’ there is a line, my turn should be coming up.

So my friend, brother, and I have a running bet to see how long it will take before I am actually playing the game again. I think that I’ll probably get my account back (from the hackers) by next weekend and then I’ll wait about a week at least to get it unbanned (since it was hacked it was also probably selling gold).
Just in time to start my second week of play on the month anniversary of the release. I mean, I know what you’re thinking and yup… I’m an optimist.

Ahh the long wait.
Still without an account. I don’t have a serial code (no idea where it would be) and I doubt I deleted it because I still have saved (from April 10th):
Congratulations on successfully completing the registration process for Guild Wars 2!
The game client will be available shortly; we will send you an e-mail with a download link.
Your Guild Wars 2 User ID is:
————————-
This is a unique account identifier, consisting of a name and a randomly generated four-digit code. You’ll use it during the Guild Wars 2 Beta Event, on the Beta Forums, and in Guild Wars 2 after launch. The name and four-digit code will be your handle on the Beta Forums. The four-digit code does not appear in the game itself unless another player chooses the same name, in which case both your name and the four-digit code will appear.
Save this e-mail for reference! You may need to provide the game account information or your unique ID to a customer service representative to obtain customer support.
We’ll see you in-game!
The Guild Wars 2 Team
Would love to know what I need to do to get my account back since I can’t input a serial code…

Was told to post here:
So my real account was hacked (someone changed the e-mail). I was surprised to note that Arenanet does not require a verification of e-mail change. Oh well. Please give me back my account.
