Trying to equip them from the inventory and nothing happens. On right-click, all it says is “destroy.” Still shows currently equipped tool when hovered over. When I go into the hero menu and try to equip from there, selecting the relevant gathering tool slot shows nothing available to equip.

Whole computer crashes randomly while playing

I recently started playing Guild Wars 2 and have been running into a really annoying, and bad all around, problem while playing. Sometimes, I’m not sure why, the entire computer will freeze, whatever was on the screen would be frozen, and a buzzing sound comes through the speakers (my guess is a short audio loop over and over). I’m on Windows 7 64-bit, NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 GPU with latest drivers, AMD Athlon X4 750k processor, with 8GB of RAM. I also can’t seem to find any crash logs, I think they may not be generated at all since the entire computer is what crashes.

At first I had thought it was a problem with the processor overheating and crashing, so I ended up getting a better heat sink. The processor was getting a bit too hot, and the new heat sink did help, but the crashing has continued.

I thought it might be something else, so I looked around and thought that maybe some of my motherboard drivers weren’t up to date (no idea if that would help, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt), and I checked with the MSI Live Update tool and turns out my chipset drivers are out of date. I tried to install them, but I can’t seem to get the drivers to install (the Catalyst Install Manager doesn’t list the chipset drivers at all…) and when I went through the process, they still were out of date.

Anyways, I have no idea what to do from here. All my temperatures seem to be fine (ran a log with hwinfo64 a few times) and yet the crash keeps happening. Last time I ran memtest, it came out fine, as does the HDD using Crystal Disk Info. I also disabled anti-aliasing because that seemed to have caused problems a while back. What might be wrong?

Let me know if any more information is needed!
