Guild Wars 2

Had some issues with GW2 running properly on my machine. I went from max graphic settings with 60-110 FPS 2 months ago to running low settings with barely 25FPS now. PC less than a year old i7, 16ram, 680ti. I have updated all my drivers, done a sweep with antivirus, blown out my chasis….nothing

New issue. Last night I decided to uninstall GW2 last night and reload the 64 bit client. the DL went ok. I played a bit this morning and it crashed. Noticed that there is no shortcut on my desktop. I can only access GW2 by logging onto the website and it acts like its going to re-DL everything from scratch. Then a few seconds later it pops up (but there are no program files on my PC that I can find).

2 problems -
1 – How do I get a shortcut on my desktop again
2 – And please for the love of all that is Guild Wars – How can I get my FPS and graphics playable .

I have a moderate setup.

i7 – 4790 @ 3.6 GHz
16G RAM
GeForce GTX 760Ti OEM

Before a recent patch either late November / early December, I was running pretty much max graphics settings and self capping at 60FPS. If i took off the self cap…I would usually run between 45-100FPS. These numbers and settings were fairly consistant from March 2015 till recently. Then for no apparent reason, I have to run my graphic settings in game about low-mid tier in most categories and struggling to maintain 25-27 FPS. If I try to run higher settings again…I tank to 10-15 FPS.

Is this a known issue within GW2 or is there an external fix (all my video drivers are up to date as well as all windows updates complete). Thank you all for your insights.

Yes, after further research I found the thread that stated that you should pick up items from the trading post, Sorry for the duplicate thread ( i did google search before posting but didnt bring that up)

I click on Story Journal – Living World Season 2 – 1. Gates of Maguuma – Buy now for 0 gems – purchase this episode 0 gems confirmed with “YES” …all I get is a popup box saying network error please check your internet connection, please try again.

I can enter dry top, do the JP/vista/etc, talk on vent in real time with guildmates, i’m a mesmer and can portal multiple people all over the place and rez people. I can kill mobs, and collect loot……basically I can interact will all aspects of terrain and other players, but my living story season 2 STORY will not come up. in the upper right corner (where the personal story info is). Other players keep asking if i have received the ingame email, no I have not. I have tried rebooting the game and my entire PC 5 different times after a few different updates. I have logged on with multiple different chars, and have even done it with my full 100% map copmpletion / personal story completed necromancer with the exact same results each time. Is anyone having the same issues or know of a resolution? I have submitted this ingame as a bug so far.

@ Yamagawa – THIS WAS IT! I have never noticed this before.

It still seems odd but perhaps that is because the buy orders screen and most other screens show as “pages”, but the filled orders “pick-up” screen seems one continuous scroll down page. After accepting a few hundred buy orders, the missing gold started showing up a bit here and a bit there. Thank you both for your help!

Three separate, instances I failed to receive coins from the pick-up window of the TP. The first time I was deleting 4-5 outstanding unfulfilled buy orders. The orders were removed upon clicking the “remove” button, but the refunded coins were not in the pick up window. I did my daily on another chr, and even rebooted my PC, but that did not stop the exact same thing from happening on another cancelled unfulfilled buy order a few hours later. The third such instance in the same evening was an item salvaged, resulting in a sup sigil of fire (approx 2g value). After a while I checked my sell orders to see it missing, and the sigil was in the “items ive sold” category, but the 1g99s99c was not in the pick up window. Coins are not getting in the pick up window, they are just dissapearing. I thank you for your assistance in advance and want to say…I STILL L~O~V~E THIS GAME!
