I guess arena.net wanted to be edgy with the no mount idea. Well they could have thought of something different. How about a mount that has a stamina of its own? It would, I dont know, run out of it after a short period of time (like 5 – 10 mins of gallop) then it would go back to normal running speed. I have no idea why they did waypoints. It breaks immersion. And they were bullkittenting when it comes to exploration/helping other people. We both know you are just gonna click on your map and swoosh, you’re there. Lets not forget WvW. It would certainly increase the pace.
Im not saying the game is in dire need of it. Its pretty solid as it is. But its an MMO. If you can build portals and giant war machines, you could get a saddle and put it on a horse . It would be a very cool addition and people would appreciate it.
