About chat communication tool , there is no problem in English for Japanese players.
I think, If Japanese players want to enjoy the communication we should learn English little by little. English is most popular common language.

Japanese players need Japanese language for GW2 text language.
we ( im one of Japanese GW2 player) have many questions when we are playing GW2.
How to play, How to know systems, How to use this items, and more.
Korean, Italian,Thai,Russian too.

But no need many languages to chat.
Because there is no border in GW2, English is best for GW2 player’s communication.

I hope that too.

Im one of Japanese player in GW2.
1st, I apologize to my poor english.
But, after I start to play GW2, my English is growing up a bit. maybe haha.

I love GW2 and Arenanet. I met with many overseas players in GW2. Im so happy.
Because lot of Japanese playing closed and monetary onlinegames.
I dont like it.
My japanese friends in GW2 think about same things.
so…please listen to my proposal.

I want to support to Japanese text. but I hope that GW2 support only explanatory text and character lines.

I want to know the world of GW2 more deeply.
I want to know more about my favorite character’s feelings.
I want to say " do you know MMO RPG GW2 ? this is amaging ! lets join us ! " for lot of Japanese have never play GW2 yet.
