the armor isnt that hard to get,its the accessories thats the problem.they dont exist as exotics or rares
If it’s not that hard to get, please tell me where to get it. I’m talking about lvl 80 rares – reasonably priced items that have near-max stats.
completely agree with this post. so stupid that some stats are easy as hell to obtain but some are near impossible to find
Why is the “rabid” (“rabid” denotes gear that has condition damage as a primary stat, and toughness/precision as secondary stats) prefix only available for pvp gear? I find it incredibly frustrating that gear with this stat combination is a complete and total pain to get at level 80. It’s by far the best combination of stats for condition necromancers (unless you’re going glass cannon) and the only ways to get it are:
1. If you were lucky enough to have picked Order of Whispers as your order and can just fork out the 12k or so to buy the Order of Whispers gear.
2. If you feel like wasting your hard-earned dungeon tokens on the rare dungeon gear.
3. If you’re lucky enough to get pieces of the Khilbron set through drops, or rich enough to buy them on the TP.
4. If you spend 45k karma or tons of dungeon tokens on the exotic sets with this stat combination.
Note that there is no way to get this stat combination (even on a RARE set) without hours upon hours of work or a lot of luck. It’s a simple oversight on Anet’s part, and I feel like it would be easy to fix by just making “Rabid” gear drop from enemies, or make a set with that stat combination that can be crafted.

Really good idea. Wish they would implement this.
It’s stupid that the dungeon gear obtainment is based right now on beating a certain number of bosses. Even though dungeon rewards are greater for a full clear than farming the same boss an amount of times equal to the number of bosses in that run, it’s still more efficient to farm the same boss over and over.
So basically, I really think that all the orders should sell gear with a greater variety of stat combinations, or we should be able to change orders at 80. The orders provide a great way to get “starter” gear at lvl 80, but the gear for each order has different stats.
For instance, I chose Durmand Priory, but I’m a necromancer. Durmand Priory’s gear has vitality/precision/healing power (not sure what the use for that is but w/e) and as a necro I have absolutely no use for this armor. The Order of Whispers armor however, has precision/toughness/condition damage which is EXACTLY what I want. It’s pretty kitteny that I wasn’t told that this would be a consequence of choosing priory, especially when there is NO way to change orders or get the armor from an order other than your own.
I chose priory because it was the order that I thought I would enjoy the most, and honestly it was pretty fun. However, had I known that the end-game gear from the priory would be completely worthless, I would have picked the Order of Whispers.
TLDR – Order armor sets need a greater variety of available stat combinations, we need to be able to buy armor from orders other than our own, or we need to be able to transfer to different orders after choosing.
