Teleport to a friend! Problem solved.
Assuming that you have a friend who will go to the temple for you.
Originally, you needed 400 HP for the elite specs….then Anet nerfed that figure to 250.
Use the LFG feature for HP trains in HoT maps.
Problem solved!

Sorry but they are not macros. They are bindings….bind (Button1) to use skill1.
A macro is Button1 does 2 or more actions.
Apologies for being so pedantic but this matter really bugs me….the same way that electricians hate the word “bulb” when it comes to lighting.
Because I want to support the Developers that have given me gameplay enjoyment for the last 12 years and 14,000+ hours. I’m a fan of the Guild Wars universe. I wish I could do more.
Same reason. 12 happy years….no quite as many hours though.
they could have literally did JUST build templates and i would have been happy to wait longer for the xpac. It make me very sad to not see that in the game still. rift still has a +1 on guild wars for this.
You obviously mean that Rift has a +1 on Guild Wars 2!
Guild Wars had templates.
In short –
Mounts will be an absolute requirement in SOME situations in the same way that gliding was.
You can walk the rest of the time.
There won’t be lots of WP any more, so dying means a LONG walk back instead of jumping the canyon.
The story, where you first meet and use the raptor, doesn’t even require you to ride it to complete!
The fact that some of them are now underwater and some others are crumbling?
I call it shoddy workmanship and the use of inferior materials!
Personally I think that Anet should provide 2 tier raiding. normal mode that is easier to get in and learn the mechanics
The problem is a lower tier mode wouldn’t help people like the OP find a group for the actual raid. It would help with more people to check the raids but not with access to the actual raids. Unless for some reason you think those groups on LFG won’t continue to ask for LI or kill proof or titles/whatever if you add an easier difficulty, which won’t happen.
But a group that learns the machanics together could move forward into the true Raids together. Thereby gaining the experience to join the better groups.
WoodenPotatoes mentioned how lore rich the Raids were so it’s sad that It’s gated behind impossible, for me, content. GW1s endgame content was doable with non-optimised groups, unless it was speed running, so GW2 should, IMO, provide the same.
FWIW, I’m in the kitten age group and been in the GW franchise for 12 years so it’s not like I’m not experienced. ????
Personally I think that Anet should provide 2 tier raiding. normal mode that is easier to get in and learn the mechanics, but without the masses of loot. And then Raid mode, as it is, for the experienced L33Tists.
At the moment I just see it as me missing out on large amounts of content. This feature is pretty much what they have for Fractals, so why not Raids?
Nope, they are separate entities so you can go straight into PoF.
No, PoF and HoT are totally separate.
Actually, I believe that the reaper (especially when in shroud) should get Binky.
You have to complete the Rev elite spec. It gets added directly to that character’s crafting (even if you don’t have that discipline!). Then you can buy it from the laurel traders for 1 laurel using your armoursmith.
Also I believe they are account bound.
Are these the first time EVER that you have done these or have you done them previously?
If you did these with human/charr toons a long time then you will already have the point awarded.
Speak to a Laurel Vendor….he has them for 1 laurel after you unlock it.
Is there any chance of some normal jeans/leggings type of armour for humanoid femail casters?
Skirts are getting a bit passe now….
I was personally hoping that there would be something special, like a short sequence of missions, or a storyline instance, that needs to be completed in order to unlock a specification.
I too am hoping that we have to venture into VB and complete a couple of quests to “learn” about the elite specializations.
I really don’t want to login on the 23rd of October to be told “Hey, your proffesion can now specialize as a elite_spec”.
I want to earn it!

I kept losing sound until I set GW2 to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode.
Seems to have cured my issues so may help you too.
Elite Weapons won't work in Core only?

“You are encumbered”
GS floats in the “Take all” box that is generally reserved for my chest rewards!! ^ ^
As a pre-purchaser I got a title….erm…..Yay(?)!
Then I was given a “veteran” awarded character slot….YAY!!!!!!
Wouldn’t it be great if we could get our hands on the Revenant a little earlier, when they are happy with the balance, to level up and get to the jungle? Or even let us start at L1 in the betas.
I want to level my revenant from 1-80 by playing the game.
This means no scrolls or tomes.
With pre-purchase would we be able to get the non-specialised version of the revenant to level when it’s ready or would we have to wait until HoT launch?
This would allow me to level them up naturally before they hit the jungle!
Before I start, I’m with the majority of players disappointed with no character slot with the basic package.
As for “entitlement” I believe that the only people who qualify is anyone who bought the “base game” since the announcement of HoT, in the belief they needed the “base game”. They should be allowed to “upgrade” for a cost (HoT cost minus the price that they paid for “base game”) as the FAQ was misleading.
As for the “veterans”, we’ve had almost 3 years of free content including Living Story 1 & 2 and new areas with Southsun, Dry Top and Silverwastes. Anet have to make money, they have to pay bills and the staff have to eat/pay rent/pay mortgage/electricity/travel/yadayadayada….. So we are “entitled” to nothing in my honest opinion. Sorry to burst your bubble of self importance.
On a side note, there are several sites offering GW2 HoT CD keys for less than Anet are charging. You could buy gems to get a character slot with the price difference.
If you’ve only got to L29 then maybe the class you are playing isn’t the one for you at the moment. Try some other classes and you’ll probably find one that just clicks for you.
Race can also be a reason you lost interest. I recently deleted my furball warrior to make a human one and am enjoying that a lot more.
As has been mentioned, I’d also recommend you join a guild to get the best out of the game and give you a group of people to get ideas from. And if you don’t gel with that guild then move on.
And most of all….Have fun!
I’d like to be able to move my crafting disciplines from 1 toon to another. I know that there would be some cost involved but it would be better that retraining in those disciplines.
I made a Norn engineer near the start of the game and, if I am honest, find them to be lumbering hulks that I have no affinity for. Unfortunately I got to level 400 on huntsman and leatherworker before realising my mistake (or should I say “their ungainlyness”).
So I’d like a shiny new engineer and be able to move my crafting to it.
And FYI, I can’t afford a new toon slot!
Or, alternatively, a race change kit.
And I apologise for any heartfelt pain that the lumbering hulks may be feeling.
Can you tell us the nature of your disability? My son only has 1 hand and doesn’t have any major problems playing any class.
My thinking was along the lines of GW1. 4 slots for 6 professions and then 2 additionals each time they released a new game because of the new professions.
I know this is similar to EotN, in that it’s an expansion, but I’d hope they’d offer a toon slot to enjoy the new content.
If they hadn’t revealed the Revenant then I wouldn’t be bothered about a new slot.
With the release of Revenant, in HoT, will ANet be giving us a free character slot with the expansion?
I’m hoping so.
I heard a rumour that ANet’s income is expected to be huge for Q4…..not speculating just saying.
Is there any chance of us getting buddy keys for the Wintersday cheer?
I know a couple of people who would like to see the game before they bought it.
Ho-ho-ho
:)
