Disabling the DPS meter fixed my issue. Thanks a lot

So I just installed the new WvW update. I can load into the character select screen fine but when I try to load into Lion’s Arch the game crashes in the map loading screen. Specifically, I get the ‘Guild Wars 2 Game Client is not responding’ error.

Hey guys, I’m a returning player to GW2, I used to actively play WvW until about 6 months ago. I have a few questions to determine if I want to transfer myself to another world.

How active are tier 1 or 2 worlds?
Are there still 50+ men zergs and lots of organised guilds running in these worlds?
How has changing of the points system affected how groups run raids?

Started up the launcher today and the update seemed to be installing fine with a speed of 2MB/sec for a bit, but when the Downloading number reaches 61MB, the speed spikes up to over 10MB/sec and then slows down rapidly until it reaches 0KB/sec. After a few seconds the update seems to just stop itself and the bar is at 0% without a Downloading, speed or Files Remaining section. I cannot start the game. This occurs every time I launch it at 61MB.
