PvP gear is restricted to make it easier to balance. I doubt ANet will open it up and make it harder for themselves just because people have been dueling in WvW for the last 4 years.

fair point, just thinking of idea’s how to get less WvW dueling.
Sure you can’t go totally against it but still making it less appealing would be nice.

Ever since I’ve started playing again I noticed people in WvW are dueling. This is not what WvW is designed for it is what the PvP arena’s are for.
But due to the limitations PvP gear and space they find themselves better off in WvW.

Personally I find it cringing to see that happen. We all put our efforts in attacking / defending the borderlands and then you have them dueling, taking space in a world that is not designed for it for what they do.

My suggestion is, to extend the customization of the PvP gear.
As I’ve experimented with it myself it is quite limited.
People want to be able to change their gear as they are used to in WvW and PvE worlds.
such as equipping separate jewellery / accessories. instead of 2 items that influence your stats a lot.
Give them the same customization that they’re used to.
So that they don’t need to go to WvW anymore and can happily get their duels in PvP arena’s.
