Oh, ok, that sort of makes it simpler. Since they are both the same now, what is the difference between a paid and a free tournament token? Would I just get 1 at random from finishing a tournament? and what is a hotjoin?
Aye, I am most a PvE kind of player but I’ve done some PvP and love it. I think its a lot of fun and have been looking into upgrading my gear(cosmetically). I need a paid tournament token for the pants I want to forge and I understand I need to win a paid tournament first. Thing is I have done at least 1 paid tournament a few months ago before I took a brake from the game and don’t remember how I managed to do that. There are never people on the roster or looking to do tournaments so I’m confused as to how to go about doing that for both cosmetics and achievements. Is there some sort of community on Maguuma that does tournaments throughout the week? I have searched everywhere I could think of for any information but have had no luck. Any info would be very appreciated.
and then your told that you you only need 10 out of 14 achievements giving you a total of 4 that you can completely skip out on. so being forced into it its out of the game. you only need to stay in for 4 measly more games to get half of the dragon ball achievements leaving you with only 9 more needed most of which which be available in 2 days

10/14 achievements? o.0?!??! What black magics do you speak of? I did not know that one didn’t need to get ALL of them. This changes everything!!!
I love dragonball, it’s so much of an improvement compared to the Karka game which was fun too but ANNOYING. This new mini game is set up awesome (certain buffs/abilities in each corner and health) which creatures strategy and skill. I own at this mini game all day long. The only negative I’ve seen about it is AFKERS, and it’s hard to play with friends and the rewards suck compared to spending time in PvE for the same amount of time as a match takes.
Pros:
Team based, much more enjoyable then solo based like Karka.
A nice system, abilities located in certain areas of the map creating strategy and skill.
Good map structure.Cons:
Bad rewards for time spent per game
No group queue with friends
Can’t get rid of AFKers.

Yes, this is another thread complaining about Dragon Ball and all its fallacies. Dragon Ball is by far the worst and least fun mini game created yet. I enjoyed the pvp events during Wintersday and the Halloween event. Those were really fun so I thought to myself when I heard about Dragon Ball that this would be quite fun too. Little did I know that Dragon Ball is actually terrible, very frustrating and NOT fun at all. Between the afkers and how terribly unbalanced the mini game is when it comes to uneven teams, I find it torture having to WIN 20 games. Right now I am at 6 wins 16 games total, my wins are less than half my total games meaning that at this rate, I will have to play about 50 games to complete the 20 wins for the achievement(provided that the mini game doesn’t keep screwing me over). Arenanet, please, please, please lower the wins requirement for that achievement. I see no point in having to force players to play this frustrating mini game. With that said, I am enjoying the rest of Dragon Bash very much.
