There is a ton of afk players at some spots. They do nothing besides spamming healing skill in time intervals. This is against being kicked of course. Those classes are usually ranger and necromancer.
My question is :
Is it legal in eyes of ArenaNet, because for me it is clearly botting and making profit based on activity that doesn’t require your time and just an autoclicker.
The second one:
Will you ban those players or punish them in any way if someone reports them?

Well I would just manipulate prices …
That’s what Arena has done so far. There was a simple scheme (ofc people with no life abused it) dungeons->tokens->rare items->glob of ectoplasm->gold.
Price wouldnt change too much as rare items were about cost of 20s. It was profitable to get tokens, salvage and sell it (and fast for most players)
Before that : People short after beta realised that karma farm is somehow good. You got karma spend it on chests or something and got gold, simple.
After dungeon farm (well I quit the game for some time due to meta once again(yeah i was playing condi then, when no one used it, now it is opposite)
After this farm there was a tricky bag farm: easy, you used it on some birds on islands and farmed it, as players were opening it or using for something.
Dungeons : nerfed
Bags : nerfed
Meanwhile : people used to farm black lion keys. What happened? Arena made story line avaible per 5 lvls.
Meanwhile: some people used bots for resource farm(some just kept to gather them on their own …)
Shortly after beta : there was a magic find. I used to make some money (not lot of as it ofc got nerfed …) ON elementals. I got lodestones, sold it – > money.
The new magic find system is cool and I like it but you know what? Right after beta people from guild hated on me because I said that DPS meta sucks and magic gear sucks. What happened? After 3 kitten years arena did what I was talking about. 3 YEARS…
So now : no elemental farm, no dungeon farm, no bag farm, wvwvw feels dead.
After that : with living story people farmed events … looks like it is now “cool”.
So from that moment every new map had event everywhere so people can make a train and go for it. Well I just don’t have fun with things like this but k …
I really liked dungeons with re-balanced gold rewards like : per day 1g for every path etc. It was simple, it was cool and fast. Some like dungeons, some like events. And now it is “banned”.
Arena tries (IMO) decrease gold problems with item shop, k it’s fine but what when I don’t have gold?. Some players will always farm and farm and waste their life and farm.
I can dream about additional bag slots as it would ruin my budget in this game.
Those currencies are probably for that, so gold won’t go low value too fast. Tbh this perhaps could be prevented by not spamming those events or making a limit. On silverwastes(?) there was an even chain with rare items etc. I would say that every “unlimited” source of money is bad. Fractals were another thing because : there were items people sold so the price would go down and it did, still it has dropped but it is kinda stable if other items use the items people sell, and have a chance for a greater profit or waste of gold. Imo it is the best, same happened to dungeons and rare items. They stopped at some point because u could get 2 ectoplasmas, or 3 or 4 etc. Just some luck. And there are plenty items using it, so it is practical.
Those are my ideas, just to allow people to get gold via items, which price can be handled by item post but wouldn’t go too low as it would be useful for other items, that could drop items of even great value or less value. With more players, there is a need for crafting materials, same happened to ascended stuff. Prices went crazy.
And to drain gold I would just use itemshop like arena does, it is one of the ways …
Some items are nice and you would like to buy them ;p Same to character slots with HoT … Arena didn’t give those to “normal” players, they had to buy it …
But still I don’t feel very happy about this that some heavy farm players make money on events when I can’t go somewhere else. Maybe gathering is a choice, but this is a bit of a mess for me. Prices jump, drop. Orichalcum used to be pricey, last time it wasn’t. Feels more like a stuff to do with map exploration than for gold purposes.
You could make a system like this:
Karma farm → money, dungeon farm → money. Drain → itemshop.
Or like this:
Restricted farm with limits → less money. Items obtainable from achievements,boss fights (something like dungeons) and itemshop to drain even more.
Dunno. Tbh I just like simple ways more than following some people in a 30 players party on events.

You have to farm new currencies for loot as well. In this system everything is obtainable with a lot of farm.
You can go and collect rocks, so you can sell rocks collection.
You can go collect butterflies and sell the butterflies collection.
Same thing here. You can go for dungeons to farm tokens – it isn’t profitable.
You know, the difference is that rocks and butterflies are everywhere. And some tokens/currencies are only avaible on some maps.

Vayne I mean that you can play many rpg games and story is just more interesting. Dialogues, heroes, there is less patos and more realism. Some of the characters just feel bad, I wanted Trahearne to die from beginning >_> HoT is kinda better than normal story, has some more action and less stupid talks like : OMG WE’RE GOOD SIDE HERE WE GO TO SAVE THE WORLD.
Dungeon siege 2 story : you’re a mercenary who fought for a strange guy, which tried to kill you. Elves save the mercenary and … the mercenary has quests, there is some “corrpution” in the world, yeah you kill the bad guy. This feels more like a “revenge”.
Diablo had “stupid” story as well you know. It was about killing a demon, it sounds stupid doesn’kitten They just made it a good way. It was interesting enough to keep people going forward, and discover more facts etc.
When you first play GW2 it is cool, you do some quests, learn about cities etc.
But it feels too “nice”. The world of this game is great, there are old structures, ghosts of ascalon. Next story could be as well about some ascalonians trying to take revenge , or a war between charrs and humans. This is kinda more realistic and forcing to roleplay than just following a dragon, in a nice atmosphere with nice characters…
I know sylvaris were kinda traitors, but the story had too much “patos” and atmosphere of rightness for me. Like : OMG WHAT WE DO, save the traitor or kill em. Oh no this choice will matter so much … If I don’t kill them I will get some educational talking about how bad is not trusting people or something etc. Lol imagine that there could have been “real” time fight those corrupted sylvari taking cities, and players to defend it. Something like dragon bosses, with a chance to drop some skins and/or giving mastery points. Or maybe a new dungeon? Could be based on HoT as well.
With a new dungeon there could be some more weapons or armor sets, so even new players can have it, and not legendary farm for another 2 years.
Maybe that’s what a few have been talking about with “content” label on it.
(yeah not raids, I hate raids for stupid 10 people party and “proper” builds).
Dunno but from beginning I liked charrs, and now no one cares about races. There is no rp? Asura feels so lonely, so far they were a part of this living story I didn’t participate and didn’t want to pay for as those were only some missions (but the cost was pretty high for users not farming everyday)
The best thing that came with HoT is gliding. It’s neutral, it’s funny, it gives new ideas for vistas + I liked masteries, and the story was a bit better. Vayne btw: if you don’t closely watch story it means it is boring for you, I’m not sure if I liked the thing you say about, the story integrated with maps. It isn’t too bad but those maps will become boring if you do the same thing over time(events with probably rare items drop), and on other side, you can’t just explore it, as everything will attack you and try to kill you, maybe not everywhere, but the enviroment is kinda the same, so what is to explore.
I mean that : after you’re done doing HoT you probably won’t enter those maps for other things than gold farm/items farm.
So far events>expansion, for me (comparing stories). The bad thing about events is you can’t obtain some skins if you don’t participate.

I really hope for something to appear that doesn’t require a 10 people party, who can leave at any moment. 5-6 is enough.
Not everyone has time to grind every piece of armor on fractals, to go raids, to get kicked from group because your build is wrong, so you can go farm new items, spend more gold, get an another build and repeat the raid 100 more times.
Welcome to grindwars, where more time = more grind …
I haven’t gone far into raids, I met the guardians, and so far I can say that : all you need is condi, isn’t it stupid? I remember that I sold my condi set BECAUSE IT WAS USELESS, and no one wanted you, so now they put a dungeon that needs it. Shall I grind it again …
Don’t forget that there ofc will be something after raids for players with items, so they can farm even more … I have no ascended set, not a single piece of it and I played on fractals at least 20-30 games with HoT released etc. The difficulty isn’t same for everyone, as some players have fun exploring map or doing other things like pvp.
Gwilym I totally, TOTALLY agree … Those new map feel like not maps. I like some new features, especially those map lvls, but let’s be honest, that story is kinda lame …
I always loved to just STOP and watch the map. I liked icy maps with hills and good, nicely done enviroment. HoT is just a dynamic events hunt train. I’m lost with all those events, grinds etc. I remember how awesome was the event on one of those human maps with a giant to fight in a group. Srsly I liked it … You had walked slowly on the map, doing quest and saw some big creatures comming at you.
Vayne, those arrows, are just like the storry. So far I realised once that when I had done arah story I done my final story as well. I don’t know if I have ever lead it to an end. But there is a funny thing about hot, the heroes I didn’t like died, however I still don’t know what the story was about due to the stupid cut off episodes and events I didn’t participate … So far I know that there was a jungle and a dragon awoken.
Difficulty is something you want when it comes to fractals, as players will learn.
I don’t get everything you wrote, but I think that new players might be noob about swamp. It isn’t hard tho, dunno maybe something has changed, but there are just 2 ways. All needed is some AR and skill.
Tbh in this game people can do much with dodge. I don’t think that the wisp part is hard. I have been beating arah boss story once with some guys for like 4 hours so … this fractal is to be learned, because the main thing is to jump on trees …
And i think someone might blame me for everything i wrote but. MANY MANY AND MANY good EXPIERIENCED players LEFT. Look at friends tab, guilds. You will see why those maps are so hard with F2P players or just newbs. There might be no one to carry through it.

Currencies (overall, but the most basic) are fine, problems are tons of stupid keys or items that fill your inventory and you can’t keep them in bank because additional tabs are … costing gems.
Trading currencies is stupid idea for me. It would attracts bots, no life players farming it for money, and simply decrease overall fun from gaining it on your own. The less gold you have to gain in this game the better. Why to complicate things when you could use/revive fractals and dungeons? What do you think would happen with more items for sale? Players would farm it, decrease the price and the fun is over. No gold from it. For me the best idea for currencies like tokens is this way : dungeon>tokens>rare items>rare ingredients. For HoT strange currencies I don’t know as I wasn’t much into it. Don’t forget players who don’t own HoT.
I agree with idea to stop putting new currencies, it doesn’t make sense. You don’t fix economy with putting more currencies, you rebalance the economy. Can’t there be maps like on HoT maps, but with currencies already in game? I mean that I don’t really want to farm some “innovative” currencies from HoT but I would like to go to pvp and wvwvw to spend it on items from HoT maps. It would make more sense IMO, because it takes less work to get it done, makes less mess for new players. I’m still curious when someone will come up with the idea of … key rings or something. (you know, so you can keep the keys together somewhere). Those are small things but IMO would be really appreciated by players …
And btw: this is seriously not serious when with new map you’re pushed to either remove your currencies or buy bank tabs. That’s one of those things people might hate, as they want just to play and not to “go crazy” with their inventory each time they enter a map Not everyone has unlocked all slots for bags (like me) and has the biggest bags. Why those are pushed for it?

A very good idea.
I like it. Would be funny to see crosbows, it feels good with all those walls, castles, fortresses. But then again … meta … However i would love to see thieves with mini crossbows, they would be like deadly dps with some stuns maybe? Like : a bolt to your knee etc. lol
BTW: I though of more games for low lvl areas and towers for gliding, what about this?
I’m not into game as many other people are not. Last time I entered the game, my guild had 1 person online – the leader. I have 1 simple question : will this game ever become less like it is now? It feels like any fun in this game is dead due to hard farm and stupid meta.
I gave it a try like 2 months ago. I even entered for THIRD time (yet no alone) the HoT dungeon and guess what? I didn’t say a word about my build or something just wanted to feel how the game stands. I met people who actually were spamming “XD” and “jokes” about a guy that didn’t have a right build. They kicked him out and treated like kitten. Made jokes of him and didn’t even realise that they were so “smart” and didn’t see my build wasn’t good as well.
In past condi used to be crap, and the best way was usually dps, however on world vs world fights condi could be useful (imo, I saw guys with it). For me this game isn’t fun anymore with meta changing and excluding some builds, as well with the content you have to “participate in event” for, or “pay in gems” for. The attitude in this game for me changed and it is now about stupid farm and not just fun.
I know people can play less badly or more badly but this isn’t nice to loose the dungeons, world fights etc. I entered that new “world vs world” stuff and saw people in a train going for points, for farm i guess. In old wvwvw it was fun to defend structures, tower. I don’t know how exactly it is now, but I heard that commander left and there aren’t players to lead it again?
TBH I enjoyed that old karma farm in Arah more than those new “dungeons” with new builds and items I won’t get. I heard of players droping ascended, but myself never got it from fractals … before it was like : THERE WON"T BE MORE THAN EXOTIC, and now it is more than exotic and everyone has to have it. You can’t obtain it in an easy way or just get it in your time, you have to grind … Farm fractals (which weren’t so popular last time I participated in the game) or go to those new wings of dungeon from HoT…
And personally I feel this game lost some quality. Especially at point when final HoT boss was bugged and I couldn’t beat it solo (yes I was very close, tried it like 6 times but bugs were stronger). After some time I got back and guess what – it wasn’t fixed, Arena’s new child called hot had boss bugs like map breaking in wrong time, or those points spawning wrongly. Also I don’t get those ideas for gem store. In beta there were few (at least for me) nice looking armors, right now there are some, but ofc, those are SETS IN STORE, because why not to put something new to the game … (yeah I know you can get some from achievements, but I’m not sure if it is avaible for non-Hot users)
Everytime there appears some sort of gold “exploit” (not really) like easy gold farm so everyone can (those who follow the game ) get some skins, or items and just enjoy the game, arena must change the gamplay. Dungeons bringed gold? Let’s nerf it. Tricky bags brings gold? Let’s remove it (nerfed) etc. The only proper way to have gold is either to follow lemming trains for events or what? What if someone enjoyed dungeons, liked to train and have some gold from them? Can’t people have like 10 or 15 entries per day instead of gold nerf? This would have prevented the inflation but dungeons would remain alive. With HoT they were “alive” for a few days just to farm exp for masteries … yeah I guess this surely was the best idea for dungeons. To make them less popular and for people to farm exp on Citadel.
Dunno maybe this game isn’t for me, or maybe someone agrees with me. So far I liked pvp changes and leagues etc. It feels alright and it is a new content. I don’t like how other aspects of the game are treated. Playes had to wait for LFG long time … same for this new HoT dungeon.
BTW: Another stupid thing are those “extra rare” skins. Most people won’t use them because they’re so rare they would rather sell it for 312141412k gold. It is good to have more or less rare skins, but while some of them are so pricey, it makes them useless as well. For me a way worse thing were kitten bots like a year ago. They were breaking game economy, by picking ingriedients, and puting it on TP leading to price drop.
Maybe I just enjoy game that doesn’t change every half a year to the point everything is different …

Lol that’s not how the game works. I have been playing like a casual and didn’t drop a single ascended piece, since my come back before Thorn update. So yeah it is grind to play. This is totally useless to craft a weapon that costs you 200 hours or so just to have a skin … Imagine how all those people with bots were hard working for it, painful isn’kitten They brough many things to the game but no content … skills are still the same, you have got rebuilt traits system and (well that’s actually good) few more classes. I was expecting more maps or something, a deep campaign, not another story for kids, and on top of it you can waste your life just to get a legendary weapon so you can glow in night and be famous about how much life you don’t have lol
BTW: Grind is negative, because every good game is heading toward community, not some grindfest to waste your time, because they want either you to buy some stupid skins or make your life pathethic after spending those 200 hours on let’s say picking some berries.
The game is great when people can make fun by themselves, and it isn’t avaible when someone tells you how to play or give you restricted content. Really if this game wasn’t about gold you wouldn’t have met so many people farming everywhere for everything.
Guys and update. There is a raid lobby, and that’s good + you can get ascended gear there. It took them 2 months tho …

LFG wasn’t a thing for 2 years at least. So yes shouting was working in this game as well.
Is there an LFG for raids? Or perhaps 10 players is too much for a simple lfg?
People “doing dungeons” might be in your opinion people farming CoF for masteries? There are ’’SOME" players, literally.
About raids. Lets put a boss you can kill easily with pink dyed armor but not so easily with green dye or blue dye on armor. I hate meta for it, and it was a thing since zerk farm on CoF.
Gw2 is “different” from other mmos only because of good map design and unusual system, but grind and levelling are the same. Why is character able to pick a story quest only once per 10 lvls? Is this a ’’feel free to do what you want"? No its against people farming black lion keys, because arena wants more cash.
I would rather enjoy content requiring more skills tho. It isn’t a fun really to farm something for your life. I liked fractals, dungeons, very big world maps for exploring, side quests and events. To beat some bosses you need to find a group and … farm.
This isn’t what used to be in beta when people randomly meet each other just for fun.

Last hot boss was pretty much on godmode on solo because of bugged glitching and map falling apart wrong because of bugs same to glitched graphic effects
If i wanted grind i would play wow because devs claimed gw2 would be different
Less grind doesnt mean ease and if the grind appears make it fun
So what keys are not currency? Add a fob for it then
The point is: not everyone has time for 60g farm a day for new skins,event items,item slots,character slots,ascended materials or farmimg events for tokens,points etc

Nope, devs ruined it. Unplayable expansion story (glitching bugs) too much zerg stuff for individuals, not friendly raid system (you need rl friends or a guild to join you). WvWvW died, same as dungeons did. Well pvp is the only thing alive. I enjoyed beta and i would love to play the game it was as released … Too much grind appeared (new armors and useless stuff like ascended) why would you even farm ascended armor if fractals are dead above some lvls, and raids are so restrictive? Do people actually play some classes like necro anymore (an example)? The game feels more like: adapt to our rules, than “relax and find players to do some stuff”. No more dungeons, no new fractals, besides it took 3 years to add some new stuff or a new LFG system. Im out of the game now, but i wouldn’t buy new expansions. THERE ARE good things like gliding, very well designed new maps, new items. But devs literally broke it with stupid decisions. Keys are filling your inventory (why for god sake can’t you put it into player’s wallet…), masteries require raw grind. So, old stuff got abandoned and the new is avaible for hardcore players with lot of time for the game.
