Hi everyone. I’m going to share my experience and maybe it will help some of you out.
My account was banned for about 2 and a half days for “botting” and then sometime yesterday evening I tried to log in and noticed that my error messaged had changed from being about botting, macros and, such to saying something about an unauthorized user, aka I was “hacked” or something of that element. Once I noticed this I updated my ticket (did not make a new one) and a few minutes after I got an e-mail saying my account was restored.
Do I think I was hacked by someone? No I do not, but at this point in time I’m happy to have my account open again and it seems I have no one to complain to about support anyways so I’m out of options, even if there was some sort of screw-up in the system.
Best of luck to those of you that are also honest. I know how awful this process feels.

Hello, I’m one of the individuals that was swept up by this massive bot ban without ever botting etc. Now when I log in my account Error is as follows
“We have detected that your account may have been accessed by an unauthorized individual. For security, further access to the account has been suspended until this matter can be resolved. To restore access to this account, please contact Support and one our representatives will assist you.”
Error Code: 45:6:3:2114
So does this mean I make a new ticket now? Please and thanks for your help.

What disgusts me the most about this entire system is how powerless and guilty they are making us feel. It feels like the witch trials… I want to continue loving ArenaNet but they’re making it really difficult to do so.

Is anyone aware of any phone number I can use to contact either NCSoft or AreanaNet? I’d like to call regardless of whether or not I get my account back in the near future because this feels entirely unacceptable and is dramatically changing the way I feel about this company and Guild Wars 2. It would be lovely to have a Mod respond to this with something official. Please and thank-you.

Is it easy to actually tell if an account is a real player or a bot? I’m terrified and sick over the idea that Support could still think I’m a bot or have botted at all. I just want to play with my family again and am so scared I’ll get burned twice since I don’t understand how this works at all.

I was banned for “botting” on Sanctum of Rall this morning at about 11:30 EST. Similar story as to everyone else here, I was in the middle of the Grenth event chain when it happened. I’m very disappointed in AreaNet with this entire situation. Whatever happened to messaging a player who is apparently a bot? We had better get a nice “We’re sorry for screwing up” gift as a result of this careless and unprofessional mistake.
