Commander Niniyl here from GoM. I was in EB most of the night. Overall, my own server surprised me. We maintained numbers, we defended stuff, and generally we played better than we have in weeks. It is quite encouraging to see us learning. Lets keep it up!
It has been a fun battle. We didn’t see too much of AR, but we preferred it that way. We even launched several attacks to distract NSP so AR could regain its foothold, because we really needed NSP not to give us their undivided attention.
Wow did the reset suck. Not only we did lose all the defensive siege on our keep (and we had a ton because we knew NSP would come for us eventually). But then apparently NSP downloaded the patch way faster, because they had 40 people knocking down our doors before most of us had logged back in. Does the [OS] guild have some magic patch downloading voodoo I should know about? It looks like NSP flattened AR the same way too, (based solely on watching the map, I was not there). I don’t blame NSP for taking advantage of the situation, but stuff like this should not happen.
I fully expect us to end up in third, but if we keep fighting like this, GoM has a lot to be proud of.
Yeah. It’s our tax system. It allows our users to download patches from our private FTP server.
Just to make this painfully clear: I have no intention of reporting you guys, or getting you banned.
That said, you guys might want to be careful with your third-party patching system. It is clearly giving you an in-game advantage, and that is specifically the type of third-party programs that are banned.
Read the whole policy here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Policy-Third-Party-Programs/first#post354869Here is an excerpt from that post:
The best way for a player to assess whether a specific third-party program could have any impact on another player or a PvP opponent is to ask:
• “Does this program allow someone to play faster, better, longer, or more accurately than someone who doesn’t use it?”
• “Does this program allow someone to ‘play’ when he/she is not at the computer?”
• “Does this program allow the user to gain undeserved rewards?”If the answer to any of these questions is “yes”—or even “maybe”—then we strongly recommend that you do not use the program because to do so may place your Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2 account in jeopardy.
Let me be clear again, I’m not at all interested in reporting you or getting you banned. However, I would recommend not pushing your advantage. It could get you in trouble, and what is the point of defeating the other servers while they are loading? You didn’t really beat the enemy, you just took advantage of the system.
Final Point:
[Os] is clearly a well put together and coordinated guild, I look forward to fighting you guys this week. I have no ill feelings toward you, and honestly I would hate it if you guys got banned. I love fighting strong opponents, because that is how we learn. GoM has learned so much from fighting stronger opponents. See you on the battle field.
They see us trollin………………………………….
Also as part of our Guild tax system it gives us wuper fast download times to the ANET SERVERs…………………..u mad?

If by exploit you mean golems and timewarp yah i see that as an exploit…………………get bent
Been a fun three weeks……..See you guys in a lil bit. Most the fights these past few weeks have been just utterly a blast. Steam rolling and getting steam rolled. Take it easy g/l to all you guys
Worst thing I do not play with sounds on and still get this……..More often than not it happens when sPvP. Get it at other random times as well.
