On the new patch:
performance increase, stutters and fps down after loading screen, keyboard layout issues still persistent and client still reads a kittenton of data from the hard drive. (35GB of data in 5 min of playing).

For all those who can miss the Control Strip while playing:
Go to System preferences > Keyboard > Short Cuts > Function Keys
and add GW2 64-bit to list of applications.
That replaces the games fn-keys with wide function keys. If you hold down the fn-key, you will still have access to the expanded control strip.
If you switch applications or Spaces, the normal Touch Bar layout will appear.
They updated the minimum system requirements for windows to drop 64-bit support and only list the 64-bit Client + Requirements for Mac. Have a check yourself on the buy page of PoF, somewhere on the bottom of the page.
Since you are ditching 32-bit Support with PoF (which means we will no longer be able to use the 32-bit Client which is far more stable and better-performing as the current-state 64-bit client), I really hope you guys are going to fix not only crashes but bringing performance at least to the same level as the old 32-bit client…
Are we going to see fixes for both performance and crashes before the release please? (I think fixes before beta weekends aren‘t to be expected, right?)
Any heads up if there will be an update to the client in the next release? ^^
Also, any information if MumbleLink is coming to the new client anytime soon?
even after the patch, the client still reads tons of data from the hard drive…
sadly, no performance increase noticeable…
one thing I noticed:
i have approximately the same performance (fps) on best performance as in best quality settings… xD
Hey guys!
First of all, thanks for the new client.
You stated you were not planning to use Metal instead of OpenGL.
But what if you used MoltenGL (https://moltengl.com) to increase performance? As far as I understood implementing it won’t require you to completely rewrite (again?) the OpenGL Engine while using Metal to boost performance and quality!
Would that be an option for you guys at all or in the (near) future?
