Update: ‘Repairing’ is a temporary solution, for some reason every time I restart the client I have to run the repair tool again or it will not even load the area before disconnecting me. And it still only works about half the time, I get random disconnects even though my internet connection is perfectly stable.
Months old issue still waiting for an answer. The lack of official communication both in the Forums and Client Support about a game-breaking issue is astonishing. Nothing new under the sun.

Update: Running the repair application (you can find it inside your root GW2 installation folder) seems to have fixed the issue. So far I’ve been playing for about 20 minutes without getting disconnected so I’m assuming the issue has to do with file corruption? I’ll update again if it stops working, but hopefully the problem is solved.

Same problem here. Can’t play for more than a couple minutes despite my internet connection being flawless with everything else.
Days from a expac launch, right after spending money again on this game, being kept from playing the game is starting to get me proper frustrated. Are we gonna get some kind of answer about this or can I call my bank and retract the payment for the preorder already?
