Hello! I’m new but I’ll share my experience. I came from another MMORPG, and yeah, that game was broken. So on here, I tried almost every single toon – engineer, warrior, elementalist, mesmer, guardian, ranger. I didn’t try thief (because sins broke that other game I was on LOL) and necro.

But among all those I did try, I love ranger the most. So far, I’m level 20, and I only died in one part – story quests when someone goes trigger happy and lures like 10 mobs to me. Otherwise, I don’t die.

To the poster who mentioned Legolas. I totally agree. I really feel like Legolas on my ranger. LOVE IT. So do play a ranger if you like it. I love the pets, I love the traits, I love the skills, so yay! (: Equip a longbow and a shortbow and EMBRACE HOT LEGOLAS.

Thank you guys. I started to really pay attention to hearts, DE, map locations. Turns out I missed the Asura one, and got to 17. Then I started exploring the area around Sylvari and got to 21! (: Exploring is a little scary though. I don’t know why.

Hello! I moved around the different cities and completed all the hearts (except Asura, I can’t find the portal to the quest area). So now I’m not sure what to do.

I’m a level 12 ranger. Quite interested in crafting. Maybe I’ll look at that – but how do I go about doing it. I looked at the crafting section but there’s no guide.

Hello! I’m new – well not really. Spent a week or so trying different toons and finally stuck with ranger. First question, is it true rangers suck? I remember there were many threads about how rangers are bad, get nerfed with every updates and so on. I just want to know the truth please.

Second is how to level. I did all my heart quest and try to complete the daily achievements, but is there other things that I can do? I went to the 4 different racial cities and have no more hearts to complete. Suggestion please?

Hello, I have a question about PVP and WvW.

In an MMORPG I used to play, if you died in PVP, you would drop something that another player can take. Does this happen in GW2? Do you lose anything if you lose a battle or die in WvW?

Also I was watching a video that said that you gain exp and loot like in PVE. How does this work in PVP and WvW?

Hello! I’m new to the game and falling in loveeeeee with my warrior.

I just wanted to ask – can a warrior contribute to WvW? I was looking at some videos online and I see mesmers and rangers and thieves and guardians, but I can’t seem to find warriors. Does being frontline-ish make warriors bad for such WvW combat?

I mean I want to try WvW sometime when I get good gear and stuff. (:

I am a bit confused about skills though and traits. How do skills work? I heard some players mention elite skills and so on…. #confusedplayer

Yaaay Charr warriors! But I’m in Gate of Misery or madness or something like that.

I tried my warrior from level 1-5 and had a lot of fun. Granted, it’s really different in terms of playstyle. I never played an MMORPG that allowed to strafe from side to side, so cool! And a warrior that can use a rifle, bow, sword, omg love it.

Hi! I just found this game after leaving another game called uh, let’s call it XYZ International. I hope it’s not against the rules, but I needed to explain something. I loved that game and was playing the classes I like, then DPS destroyed the classes I was playing and let’s just say I’m afraid of that happening in GW2. I want to have fun!

I was considering warrior or necromancer. However, I can’t seem to find the difference between warrior and guardian. What’s the difference between the 2 cause they seem almost similar? Or am I missing something?

I thought Necromancer is cool but I heard about how the bone minions might stand around and do nothing, so that doesn’t seem too good especially if I need that extra damage output.

I like Warrior’s Arcing Strike or something – that’s so freaking cool, sniping from far.

I’m also open to suggestions for other classes. I want something that can shine in PVE and maybe for farming and a little PVP? Maybe the veterans here could share your opinions with me please?
