the essential thing about wvw is that you get to use your pve gear in there, so by upping the rewards and encouraging cooperation among guild mates. There are possibilities for less fighting roles for pve players and opportunities for the very pvp focused to shine as well.
just dropping an idea, guild versus guild instead of server versus server. If a guild could claim control of a borderland, you could have basically the same setup as wvw. This way people can have a little more flexibility cross server if they want to play more competitive, or join a bigger guild. Not all guilds would have to sign up every week of course, this could even run along side wvw, and would be pretty fun, the game is called guild wars after all! You could have size requirements to participate, or extra missions to qualify to queue up. and of course, offer better treasure!

Has anyone else thought it would be cool to play as a world boss? My idea is an extra character slot in the gem store that allows you to spawn as a random world boss and run amok until people group up and kill you, have like 1/week cooldown after you’re killed, and no cheating, if you don’t use the bosses abilities when you’re engaged you gain a stacking aura that annihilates would-be cheaters. good game.
